Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Everyone knows having a good striker is crucial for every team as they are the ones that guarantee a goal in each game and are also crucial in important matches. If we look at Real Madrid today we can all see how they are lacking on that front without a proper striker and even though they got Kylian Mbappe on free transfer and thought he would cover that role it has not gone as planned as they hoped this season due to Mbappe not being at his best the season.

Understandably, it's just Mbappe's first season with Real Madrid in Laliga Santander, but with a player of such incredible quality, many of us are expecting him to blend in quickly with the team and show good results on each matchday. Real Madrid can't deny the fact that they need a proper number 9 and although they thought since they could succeed last season without a striker then they could replicate it this season, the truth of the matter is that Real Madrid needs a striker and it may or not be in their plans in the January transfer window or next summer, but sooner or later they will realize that Mbappe can't play the role of a 9 in the team.

Since FC Barcelona president Laporta had said the club would be making a big signing in the summer window, there have been some links between FC Barcelona and some players, and two of these players, Haaland and Viktor Gyökeres, have been linked to Barcelona. FC Barcelona's sporting director Deco has come out to debunk some of the rumors as he said the club is not interested in signing any striker as they are only working with Robert Lewandoski.

Haaland is an incredible striker and would fit well into the Barcelona system. There is no doubt about that, but Lewandoski offers everything Haaland has, and the differentiation is the age factor, as Haaland is younger than Lewandoski, but still I prefer Lewandoski being Barcelona's main striker for now as I still see the Polish international performing at the highest level in football. We all thought he finished last season since he was having difficulties taking his chances in front of goal, but under Hansi Flick, the Polish striker has gotten his rhythm back and is in the race to win the Pichichi in Laliga this season.

Viktor Gyökeres has been incredible since the start of the season and I won't mind if Barcelona goes for him next summer, but since Deco has already said the club will not be looking to get a striker it will be impossible to see Gyökeres at Barcelona, but without a doubt, he is a talented striker and would be one of the big names in this summer window as I am sure top club's are already monitoring his performance.

Vitor Roque is still a Barcelona player who is currently out on loan to Real Betis. The Brazilian had a poor start last season and was not given much chance by Xavi. Vitor Roque is a good player, and since he is still young, he should be considered as Lewandoski's long-term replacement. I just hope he performs well in Real Betis this season to boost his confidence and come back to Barcelona. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
