Loss At Wembley For The Reds

It's been two days since Liverpool lost at Wembley to Newcastle United, who made history by winning their first trophy in over 50 years, and I have to commend Eddie Howie for leading this team to a successful run in the EFL competition this season. Newcastle always had prospects of winning titles since the club went under new ownership and Eddie Howey took the job as the manager of the club.

Newcastle has a good attacking forward if we are being honest as they got Alexander Isak who has been top-notch this season and he has caught the eyes of FC Barcelona who are planning to bid for him this summer windowLiverpool'solossst was a shock to me because I expected the team to take the loss in the Champions League and turn things around in the EFL Cup, but it was not the case for the Reds as they lost 2-1 at Wembley.

Liverpool has been solid this season without a doubt as they are leading the race for the league title in the Premier League as they lead with 12 points on the table ahead of Arsenal. Even with the 12-point lead, I am beginning to evaluate if the Reds will be able to keep this gap till the end of the season because this is football, and in a twinkle of an eye, that lead gap could change.

Arne Slot is doing a good job with the Reds which is one truth many Liverpool fans can't deny as it's fact. It is also his first season at the club, so I doubt there would be much criticism over his first season at the club, because if Liverpool wins the league title, Slot will have a decent first season at the club. So going forward to the rest of the season the Reds should be focused on closing the league out as the leaders of the competition and although to be frank Arsenal can't catch up with Liverpool if I am being honest and not to sound like a troll they have had chances to win the league in the past but failed to accomplish any of their chances. The players would be shaken by the two's losses this past week from the Champions League and EFL Cup, but that shouldn't drop their spirits to keep their hopes of winning the league alive. I am sure many people predicted Liverpool to reach the Champions League final this season as they had a good run in the UCL but fell short at the hands of PSG at Anfield Liverpool's next match will be at home against Everton who the Reds have yet to get a win from in their last two meetings in the Premier League. It will be an intense match, but in the end, the three points are all that matters, and the Reds need to come out of that match with all three points.

The match will take place after the international break and I just hope all the players return without injuries from the break. So this is where I stop on my keyboard, thanks for taking your time and more posts to come soon.
