Venus Williams (NYSE:WMB) stayed winless for 2020 with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 misfortune to Slovakian qualifier Anna Karolina Schmiedlova on Monday in the first round of the Abierto GNP Seguros in Monterrey, Mexico.
Williams, 39, lost to Coco Gauff in the first round of the Australian Open a month ago, and she tumbled to Slovenia's Kaja Juvan a week ago in Acapulco, Mexico.
