The Honduran Supreme Court of Justice on Friday toppled a previous first woman's 58-year jail sentence and requested another preliminary, inferring that past examinations were loaded with "conflicting realities and irregularities."
Rosa Elena Bonilla, spouse of ex-president Porfirio Lobo, was condemned a year ago on charges of extortion and undue allotment of assets. She has been in authority since February 2018.
Subsequent to learning of the court's structure, Juan Berganza, an attorney for Bonilla, told correspondents that her legitimate group will demand that she be discharged as the new preliminary is pending.
Bonilla was blamed for abusing what could be compared to $779,000 somewhere in the range of 2010 and 2014, assets from universal gifts and open coffers implied for social projects, as per an examination the lawyer general's office and a unit of the Organization of American States.
