Besides corruption foreign direct investors in Liberia has to contend with high level of bureaucratic inefficiencies, low quality infrastructure and unskilled labor force. It is unfortunate that a country that gained independence in 1847 still has these issues.
Currently only Singapore, Germany and South Korea are the main investing countries. However, the FDI inflows in the recent years past are way below $1billion per year.
