Germany on Saturday asked individuals coming back from Italy, Switzerland and Austria to self-disengage for as long as about fourteen days to help moderate the spread of the coronavirus.  

"Particularly explorers and skiers coming back from Switzerland, Italy and Austria should remain at home beyond what many would consider possible for as long as about fourteen days, even without manifestations," Health Minister Jens Spahn tweeted.  

As of Friday, there were 3,062 affirmed instances of the coronavirus in Germany, with five passings, the Robert Koch Institute for irresistible infections said.
