Afghan President Ashraf Ghani is getting ready to discharge 1,500 Taliban detainees in coming days, as indicated by a declaration saw by Reuters on Tuesday, as the United Nations supported a U.S.- drove push to end Afghanistan's 18-year war.

The two-page order marked by Ghani, which requires all discharged Taliban detainees to give "a composed assurance to not come back to the front line", is planned for preparing for direct talks with the hardline extremist gathering.
