The 2018 Qatar champion uncovered the mix-up originated from disarray among him and his accomplice at the Education City Golf Club.

"My DQ today wasn't because of me coming up short on balls or hitting anybody; rather, I finished paperwork for an off-base score," Pepperell composed on Twitter

"My aggregate, 71, was right and I for sure finished paperwork for that. Notwithstanding, my accomplice had me down for a 5 on one opening where I made a 6, and a 4 on another, where I made 3.

"Very frustrating as I really set aside the effort to change the first blunder, just to make a costlier one myself."
