Welcome to my another Splinterlands Battle Challenge.

In this post; I'll share my winning match with SERPENT OF THE FLAME in splinterlands.

THEME: SERPENT OF THE FLAME

ABILITIES: Retaliate at level 1; Poison at level 3; Piercing at level 5

As far as I remember, I used to like this monster in the battle long before while I was kinda fresher in splinterlands.
I think I had this monster in greater level in my collection and then I sold it, donnow why.

It's a melee attacker with some abilities: Retaliate at level 1; Poison at level 3; Piercing at level 5.

I didn't have any single card of this monster in my collection and then I went to the market and bought only 1 card and used it in level 1 as it's price is quite high for me.

The visual of this monster is so cool as a fire-breathing anaconda snake.

For its melee attack, it's best to use at the front monster unless it's a battle with something special ruleset.

Now my Serpent of the Flame is in level 1 which offers me 1 melee attack, 5 speed & 9 health with "Retaliate" ability.
And it needs 6 mana to play.

I've created this post sharing a gameplay link of one of my battles using Serpent of the Flame.

I just finished tagging splinterlands.

Tell us about your lineup. Explain why you put each card in that position and why the Serpent of the Flame is a good fit for the ruleset.

So, to explain my lineup... Why did I use the cards I did? And why in that order?
Yeah about that... In this match; I've played with dragon splinter using the fire team.

A Brief Info About The Match

The battles mana cap was 27 with "Standard" Rule.
I used dragon splinter using the fire team for the match while my opponent used life splinter.

My Lineup.

I had my Summoner CAMILA SUNGAZER in level 3, Serpent of the Flame in level 1, Manticore in level 3, Prismatic Energy level 2, Cocatrice level 2, Fire Spitter level 2 & Furious Chicken level 2.

And my opponent had his/her cards as Furious Chicken in level 1, Shieldbearer in level 1, Tower Griffin in level 1, Goblin Chariot in level 1, Cave Slug in level 1 & Herbalist in level 1.

Let me talk about cards that I used in this battle.

Summoner: CAMILA SUNGAZER ^{(LEGENDARY Dragon Summoner)} - as summoner.

It is said that Camila Sungazer received her summoning abilities from visions wrought by staring day after day at the noon sun for her entire life. She is, of course, completely blind from staring at the sun, but her magic is most impressive - Source.

This is the first legendary summoner that I added to my deck.
I only had rare summoners before and then I was searching for some nice cards that have bigger DEC as burning price as I was and am still looking for unlocking new leagues that need many more collections more.

This summoner seemed a perfect one so I bought some to it and made it level 2.
She offers -1 melee attack to all enemy melee monsters.
She needs 3 mana for battle.

No 01: SERPENT OF THE FLAME ^{(EPIC Fire Monster)}

This is a fire breathing snake that looks so hilarious and dangerous.

It's a very powerful alpha/beta monster in fire splinter.

Right now I have it in level 1 after I bought a single card and I'm not thinking of making it higher level as its health is quite high atm.

My Serpent of the Flame is in level 1 with 1 melee attack, 5 speed, 9 health with "Retaliate" ability.
It needs 6 mana.

No 02: Manticore ^{(Epic Dragon Monster)}

Manticore is one of my favorite monsters in dragon splinter.
I can't think of any other melee attacker with "Reach" ability than Manticore. when I play with dragon splinter.

My Manticore is in level 4 with 2 melee attack, 3 speed, 8 health with "Flying, Reach & Thorns" ability.
It needs 4 mana.

No 03: Prismatic Energy ^{(Rare Neutral Monster)}

If you're looking for a very nice and cool monster in neutral splinter with some cool power then I'd suggest Prismatic Energy for that.

This monster can get very handy for it's big health and especially the magic reflect ability.

My Prismatic Energy is in level 4 with 2 magic attack, 4 speed, 10 health with "Magic Reflect" ability.
It needs 8 mana.

No 04: COCATRICE ^{(RARE Neutral Monster)}

I think this is the only dragon in the neutral splinter.

It's another nice monster that needs only 2 mana but provides nice support.

My Cocatrice is in level 3 with 1 melee attack, 4 speed, 3 health with "Flying" ability.
It needs 2 mana.

No 05: FIRE SPITTER ^{(EPIC Dragon Monster)}

This monster reminds me of a pokemon character for it's visual.
I'm kinda sure that there's a character just like this one in pokemon or there was one when I was a kid ;)

This is a very helpful monster of dragon splinter.

My FIRE SPITTER is in level 3 with 3 ranged attack, 4 speed, 5 health with "Flying" ability.
It needs 4 mana.

No 06: Furious Chicken ^{(Rare Neutral Monster)}

This is the card that I use when there's slot left but no mana left.
I mean it's service is great for free I suppose.

Right now... I can't imagine playing a match without this card.
It's like the chicken that lays the golden egg.

It provides great support with its counter attack.
With 0 mana... it's just amazing.

My Furious Chicken is in level 4 with 1 melee attack, 1 speed, 1 health.
It needs 0 mana.

In my personal opinion... Serpent of the Flame is a nice fit for the ruleset for its power and ability.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Yeah, my strategy worked out perfectly and I'll try to use similar helpful monsters next time if I need to.

Do you use the Serpent of the Flame often? Why or why not?

No, normally I don't use it often as I've sold it long ago thinking I might not need it as I didn't find it that helpful.

On the battlefield.

The theme card, Serpent of the Flame of my team started the battle with its first attack and almost killed the furious chicken with the only shot but that chicken survived as it got extra health for the summoner.

Then monsters of both team started fighting among em and furious chicken of both teams died in the first round.

My Serpent of the Flame was getting a lot of hit while returning very few attacks and then died at a time in the third round.
And then my Manticore came to the front place and killed the front monster of the opponent team.

Then opponent team missed many attacks and at last I won the battle while I still had four monsters remaining.
It was indeed a fantastic battle that my team fought.

By playing this match, I won +0.733 Dec and +32 League Rating.
