Just as fire needs oxygen, so do humans need hope. Hope is what drives us forward, what gives us the courage to dream, to take risks, and to believe in a better tomorrow.
When there is hope, there is life
Hope gives one reason to live. It is the fuel that keeps us going when things get tough, and it's what gives us the strength to face each day with optimism and determination.
Without hope, despair, defeat and disillusionment can set in. But when you have hope, you are empowered to keep going, to make a difference, and to find joy and meaning in your life. There's no arguing the fact that having hope is crucial for leading a fulfilling life.
Hope is our anchor amidst life's storms.
In times of struggle and difficulty, hope is like a light in the darkness, a beacon of optimism that reminds us that things can and will get better.
It sure did get better for me after recovering from the bummer life threw at me when I was vulnerable.
Imagine losing your job at a time when you were recovering from a heartbreak.
I was emotionally unstable and my job, the only source of livelihood, which would have been a sort of succor or getaway was taken away from me just like that Two major blows all in once. Life is indeed unfair.
Aside from heartbreak, if you haven't experienced a job loss you have your stars to thank. Job loss can be a major blow to one's sense of self-worth, making it difficult to stay hopeful.
It was a terrible period for me then. I gave up on love, on work and employers, on life and even myself. Tears and sorrow became my companions as I would cry me a river each day.
Thankfully I had friends and family members who were always reaching out, encouraging and lending a helping hand. With their support, I was able to find meaning in life again, and began to come around again.
I sought for jobs again, but all I got was "no vacancy" or "you'll hear from us soon", the soon which never came.
That, too was another challenge as bills kept piling up while my account screamed red!
Despite all these, I resolved not to give in to hopelessness, and decided to look beyond my present condition. I remained focused, stayed positive, surrounded myself with things and people that only brought sunshine to my life. Today, I'm grateful for that decision which helped me to scale through that challenging time and live again!.
Losing hope is one thing, gaining it back is another piece of the cake which should be eaten piecemeal.
It's not always easy to regain a lost hope but it's possible if one stays positive. Positivity is the light that dispels the darkness of hopelessness. Look for the silver lining in every situation, and focus on what’s going right in your life rather than what’s going wrong.
You know how contagious positivity can be, so try to surround yourself with positivity and positive people. It will really help you regain lost hope, just like I did.
Also have belief that you can achieve what you set out to do. Keep your goals front and center and break them down into small, manageable steps that you can take to move closer to them.
Take it slowly, one step at a time, and with time, you'll surely get there.
Lastly, look for things that inspire - books, movies, music. Anything that inspires you and reminds you of the power of hope.
Losing hope is losing life. Hope is what keeps us alive, and makes living meaningful. Keep hope alive

I have experienced a job loss, I was fired of nowhere and for over 6 months, I can't even remember how I survived.
Ah, job loss is something I don't want to experience again. I'd rather resign than being sacked.
