The Power Of Self-awareness

in QC Community • 6 hours ago

Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗

I think self-awareness should be the foundation of any personal growth, be it relationships or career goals.

In a simple term, self-awareness is all about knowing yourself: your strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, emotions, and values.

Self-awareness is very important in the sense that it helps one to make informed decisions. It also builds self-acceptance and confidence.

We see a lot of people belittling themselves around people or organizations that aren't worth them.

For instance, we have all heard of or seen how some ladies rubbish themselves around some guys in the name of a love relationship; they feel or think they can't do without these guys, so they find it difficult to let go of this relationship even at the detriment of their mental health.

A woman that is aware of her capabilities and worth won't stoop too down for a guy to rubbish her; she knows she's a queen, and any man that has her in his corner is privileged.

The same goes with someone who's working in an organization that isn't treating them right. When you are aware of your impact in that organization, you know what you are bringing to the table; you would not allow them to treat you the way they want to, but the way you want to be treated.

Because of the high level of self awareness that I have, some people have mistaken it for pride.

I can't exactly remember where, but I read that the level of people with high self-awareness is 10-15%. About 50% of people have average self-awareness, while 30% have low self-awareness.

Meaning alot of people have a lot of work to do with their growth and development as related to self awareness. Parents need to instill this in the upbringing and experiences of their kids.

THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END 🤗
