Mi hija menor es una chica bastante creativa, con las manualidades, aparte de otras habilidades que, gracias a Dios, también tiene como buena cocinera, sobre todo con lo que tiene que ver con postres; pero en esta ocasión me dejó sorprendida con la creatividad que tiene en sus manos. La tarde de ayer la vi viendo una película en su computadora y haciendo pequeños cortes en unas cartulinas y me llamó la atención; le pregunté y me dijo que estaba haciendo unas rosas porque estaba estresada y esa era su manera de desestresarse. Puse los ojos como platos, pues para mí es todo lo contrario y ella lo sabe, ja, ja, ja.
Eso de andar tomando medidas, hacer pequeños cortes, andarme llenando los dedos de pega y buscando que todo cuadre y quede no es lo mío, como ella bien sabe para mí desestresarme significa escribir, oír música, ver una buena película, pero las manualidades no son mi fuerte; aunque debo admitir que si me gusta ver el proceso y por supuesto los resultados e incluso admiro las maravillas que veo que muchas personas crean con sus manos. Pero volviendo a la creación de mi hija, me entro la curiosidad y empecé a preguntarle cómo hacía, qué materiales utilizaba y a seguir sus avances en su proyecto de esa tarde.
Para elaborar el ramo de rosas, para un regalo como detalle, utilizo los siguientes materiales:
- Un pliego de cartulina blanca
- Regla, tijeras
- Colores
- Un palillo chino
- Pega
Ella me dijo que tomo la cartulina y dividió en 4 cuadrados cada uno con las medidas de 9x9, de allí lo fue dividiendo en pequeños triángulos, de donde formo los pétalos de las rosas, luego procedió a colorearlos muy tenuemente en las puntas con un rojo bastante difuminado, tomo los pétalos y los fue enroscando con la misma tijera y fue formando su primera rosa, así hasta que tuvo 4 rosas que fue pegando al palillo chino, que ya previamente había forrado con una hoja blanca pintada de verde formando el tallo, luego simplemente hizo un envoltorio como para flores y le hizo una tarjeta personalizada, con dos gatitos blancos, con su respectivo mensaje del amor y la amistad.
Todo eso lo hizo como en 3 horas. Quedé sorprendida de la facilidad en que ella hizo algo tan bonito en unas pocas horas. Si fuese mi caso, estoy segura de que aún lo estuviese haciendo, ja, ja, ja. Me encantó el resultado, así es que se los comparto para que lo detallen y quizás se animen a hacerlo. ¡Saludos!

My youngest daughter is a very creative girl, with crafts, apart from other skills that, thank God, she also has as a good cook, especially with what has to do with desserts; but this time she surprised me with the creativity she has in her hands. Yesterday afternoon I saw her watching a movie on her computer and making small cuts on some cardboard and it caught my attention; I asked her and she told me that she was making roses because she was stressed and that was her way of de-stressing. I rolled my eyes, because for me it is the opposite and she knows it, ha, ha, ha, ha.
As she well knows, for me de-stressing means writing, listening to music, watching a good movie, but crafts are not my forte; although I must admit that I do like to see the process and of course the results and I even admire the wonders that I see many people create with their hands. But back to my daughter's creation, I got curious and started to ask her how she did it, what materials she used and to follow her progress in her project that afternoon.
To make the bouquet of roses, for a gift as a detail, I use the following materials:
- A sheet of white cardstock.
- Ruler, scissors
- Colors
- A chopstick
- Glue
She told me that she took the cardboard and divided it into 4 squares each one with the measures of 9x9, from there she divided it into small triangles, from where she formed the petals of the roses, then she proceeded to color them very faintly at the tips with a very faded red, she took the petals and twisted them with the same scissors and formed her first rose, She took the petals and twisted them with the same scissors and formed her first rose, until she had 4 roses that she glued to the chopstick, which she had previously lined with a white leaf painted green to form the stem, then she simply made a wrapper like for flowers and made a personalized card, with two white kittens, with their respective message of love and friendship.
All this was done in about 3 hours. I was amazed at how easy it was for her to do something so beautiful in a few hours. If it were me, I'm sure I would still be doing it, ha ha ha ha.
