Havana, the capital of Cuba, hosts millions of tourists every year with its historical buildings, nature, beautiful people, wonderful cars, and magnificent music.
Capital Havana, which was taken under the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 1982 and has been restored since then, is the largest city and most important tourism center of Cuba with a population of 2.2 million.
The best time to visit this legendary city is December, January, and February, and the most meaningful time is of course the 1st of May, Labor Day.
If you travel quickly and on a planned basis, 3 full days may be enough, but you should spare a minimum of 5 days to fully enjoy the tour.
My advice to you is to choose your hotel or casa in the old city, which they call Old Havana because it is very easy and enjoyable to visit and spend time in the evenings.
The casa we stayed in was extremely clean and comfortable, in Vieja square, in the heart of the old city, one of the most beautiful squares in Havana.
The city of Havana consists of 3 districts: Old Havana, Centro Havana, and Vedado (New Havana).
Let's take a brief look at PLACES TO VISIT IN HAVANA:
Getting lost in the streets of Havana is such a beautiful feeling; You feel as if you are walking around in a visual feast, in a historical theatre.
In addition to historic buildings, churches, houses, cars, monuments, this city has wonderful nature; You can also enjoy the sea on the Malecon beaches.
While walking around the streets and squares of the old city, you will witness interesting scenes and a great musical feast in every street.
Plaza Vieja square, which is one of the oldest squares in the city, with a magnificent 18th-century fountain in the middle and magnificent buildings with stained glass windows around it, where our hotel is located, is lively and entertaining at all hours of the day.
The Cathedral Square, where the Havana Cathedral is located, is one of the most beautiful places in the city and is frequented by women wearing their local clothes. Prepare your money to take pictures with them.
While you're here, you can stop by La Bodeguita Del Medio, one of Ernest Hemingway's favorite bars, have a drink, or dine at the restaurant behind the bar.
When you head towards the bay from the cathedral square, you can reach the Plaza de Armas, where you can find the Castle Castillo de la Real Fuerza, the temple El Template, the Havana City Museum, and many nice cafes around it.
If you walk along Obispo street, you can see Hotel Ambos Mundos, where Ernest Hemingway's room is located, and El Floridita, the restaurant frequented by the author.
If you head towards Central Park from El Floridita, the 92 m high El Capitolio, across the park, appears in all its glory. This beautiful building, which today functions as the Cuban Academy of Science, can be seen from many parts of the city due to its height.
Cuba's most famous street, Prado Street, is also among the places to see, starting from Hotel Plaza and ending at the Malecon beaches. While walking here, you can see many historical buildings together.
Don't forget the Revolution Museum and the National Museum while visiting the Prado area. Especially the Revolution Museum is awesome.
New Havana, the Vedado area, is a more well-kept and organized area with more large hotels and government offices, and the famous 'Revolution Square' is located south of this area.
If you prefer the hop on hop off bus to go to this beautiful square with a 72,000 m2 area and a capacity of approximately 5 million people, where the May 1 events are held, you will see many places on the way out and back.
Here you can see the monument to Jose Marti and the iron silhouette of Che Guevara on the wall of the Ministry of the Interior. Fidel Castro has always made his public addresses from this square.
There is also Centro Havana, where the people of Havana live, and you should visit this place to see real Cuban life. When you take the central park behind you and walk straight past Hotel Iglereta, you will reach these streets.
It is impossible to leave Havana without going to Buena Vista Social Club. I have never seen such a cheerful, sincere and magnificent artist together in my life; entertainment, dance, music, ambiance, songs, and singers are simply amazing.
They make the final with the famous song "Guantanamera" that we all know.
Cuba is a very beautiful country with its honorable history, nature, people, streets, houses, squares, music, food, drinks, entertainment, and everything. Havana is also a beautiful city. There is poverty in the country, yes, there is hope, there is trust, there are smiling faces and happy children everywhere.
Even in the most run-down neighborhoods, you can walk around with peace of mind.

Küba onurlu tarihi, doğası, insanları, sokakları, evleri, meydanları, müzikleri, yemekleri, içkileri, eğlencesi ve her şeyi ile çok güzel bir ülke. Havana da e güzel şehri. Ülkede fakirlik var evet, bunun yanında umut var, güven var, her yerde gülen yüzler ve mutlu çocuklar var. En köhne semtlerinde bile, gönül rahatlığı ile dolaşabilirsiniz.
