Hello everyone
This morning, my sister and I woke up early to continue working on a café that is slowly taking shape. We spent the morning planting flowers and ornamental trees around the space, hoping that one day, when they grow tall and bloom, they will provide shade and beauty to the café. However, since we chose large perennial trees, it may take several years before we see the first blossoms—but we’re patient and excited for the transformation ahead! 🌿✨
We spent the entire morning digging holes for the trees, which turned out to be quite a challenge! Some areas around the café had incredibly hard soil, making it difficult and time-consuming to dig each hole. To make things even trickier, the planting area was on a steep slope, meaning every step required balance and effort as we climbed up and down, trying to get the trees in place. It was exhausting, but we kept pushing through, knowing it would all be worth it in the end! 💪🌱
After finishing the tree planting around the café, we moved on to the next task in the afternoon—digging holes for ornamental plants in front of the café. Our goal was to add a touch of beauty and charm to the space, making it feel more inviting as the plants grow and flourish. Though we were already tired from the morning’s hard work, the thought of seeing the café surrounded by vibrant greenery kept us motivated! 🌿✨
The soil in this area wasn’t as hard as the previous spot, but digging was still quite a challenge. Once we measured and marked the spots for planting, we got to work, steadily digging hole after hole. It took time and effort, but eventually, we managed to complete all 10 holes—one step closer to making the café’s entrance more beautiful! 🌱💪
After that, we worked together to carefully plant the ornamental trees in their new spots. Seeing them finally in place made all the hard work feel worthwhile—we could already picture how beautiful the café would look once they started to grow! 🌿✨
Looking out from the café’s window, we could see a small section of the Moei River, which serves as a natural border between Thailand and Myanmar. During the dry season, the view extends beyond the river to the rolling hills of Myanmar, creating a stunning landscape. However, at the moment, both countries are shrouded in a thick layer of PM 2.5 pollution—a hazardous smog that has become a serious issue for the region. Despite the beauty of the scenery, the air quality remains a pressing concern for everyone on both sides of the border. 🌫️😷
After finishing the planting in front of the café, we moved on to the next task—cleaning the windows. With all the dust and dirt from the construction and planting, the glass needed a good wipe to bring back its shine. It was tiring but satisfying to see everything looking fresh and neat by the end! ✨🪟
Outside, the Burmese workers began spreading gravel over the ground to help control dust and mud. Not only would this keep the area cleaner, but it also added a polished look to the surroundings. It had been a long, labor-intensive day for all of us, but seeing the café slowly come together made every effort feel worthwhile! 💪🌿✨

By the end of the day, we were all exhausted, but looking around at what we had accomplished filled us with pride. The café was slowly transforming, step by step, into the cozy, inviting space we had envisioned. There’s still a long way to go, but every small effort brings us closer to making this dream a reality.
As the sun set behind the hills, painting the sky in warm hues, I took a deep breath and smiled. Tomorrow would be another day of hard work, but for now, it was time to rest and appreciate how far we had come. ☕🌿✨
