The next day, I took my sister and her kids out for lunch at Coming Home, a seaside café and restaurant that I visit often. This charming spot is one of my favorites for its beautiful views and delicious food. 🌊✨
I’ve been to Coming Home many times, and it never fails to impress me. I absolutely love its minimalist design, featuring a white color scheme contrasted with warm brown wooden frames on the doors and windows. 🪟🤍
The restaurant offers three seating options: an air-conditioned indoor area, an outdoor section by the sea, and a cozy open-air space under the shade of large trees. Naturally, I wanted my sister and her kids to experience the wonderful atmosphere and stunning views, so I brought them here. 🌳🌊✨
The weather that day was perfect — clear skies and low tide, revealing the sandy seabed. We chose to sit in the shaded area under the large trees, which is arguably the most beautiful spot in the entire café. 🌳☀️
With the gentle sea breeze and the sound of waves in the background, it was the ideal place to relax and enjoy our meal. 🌊✨
Under the shade of the trees, there was a constant gentle breeze, making it feel cool and refreshing. The floor in this area was made of bamboo, adding a rustic charm, while the low Japanese-style tables allowed us to sit close to the ground. 🌿🌞
This setup brought us even closer to the sea, creating a truly immersive experience with nature. 🌊✨
There were eight of us in total, making it quite a large group. The food we ordered filled the entire table, and one of the highlights was the big plate of crab fried rice, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious! 🦀🍚
Sharing such a feast with family, while enjoying the beautiful surroundings, made this lunch even more memorable. 😊✨
Another standout dish was the fried seabass with chili sauce. The large seabass was expertly cut into bite-sized cubes, fried to a perfect crisp, yet still served in its original fish shape on a beautifully arranged plate. 🐟✨
It was then topped with the restaurant’s special sauce, which added a flavorful kick that everyone at the table loved. 🌶️🍴
Another dish that caught our attention looked very much like kebabs — perfectly grilled and served with fresh vegetables and a flavorful dipping sauce. 🥙✨
It was a pleasant surprise, adding an international twist to our Thai-style lunch. 🌍🍴
Next on the table was a delightful combination of roti and chicken massaman curry. The curry’s vibrant colors and rich aroma immediately caught our attention. 🥘✨
The creamy and flavorful massaman paired perfectly with the soft, flaky roti, making it an instant favorite for everyone. 💛🍛
Next came the steamed squid with lime — a dish bursting with bold and zesty flavors! 🦑🍋
The squid was tender and perfectly cooked, complemented by the tangy lime sauce that added a spicy kick. It was a hit among those who love vibrant and flavorful Thai dishes. 🌶️✨
This dish is one I almost always order when I come here, though I can never seem to remember its name! 🤔🍴
It features a slice of bread topped with a rich, creamy white sauce filled with shrimp, and two triangular pieces of bread placed on the sides for a lovely presentation. The dish is beautifully garnished, making it as appealing to the eyes as it is to the taste buds. 🦐✨
The final dish, specially chosen for my little niece, was crispy fried chicken wings — a simple yet delightful treat. 🍗✨
This meal truly felt special for all of us, filled with delicious food, laughter, and cherished family moments. It’s one we’ll always remember. 😊💖
After finishing our delicious meal, we strolled along the beach and took some photos. It was low tide, revealing the sandy seabed and countless tiny crabs with one oversized red claw busily digging holes in the sand. 🦀✨
Whenever someone got too close, the crabs would quickly scurry into their holes and disappear. But as soon as the coast was clear, they would climb back up and continue their activities, much to our amusement. 🌊😊
We spent a wonderful day together, enjoying delicious food and the stunning views of Rawai Beach. It was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and precious family moments. 💖🌊
Visiting Coming Home has always been a special experience for me, but sharing it with my sister and her kids made it even more memorable. The cozy atmosphere, the refreshing sea breeze, and the warm company were truly the highlights of the day.
