Hello everyone
This morning the weather is very bright after dropping my son off at school, I drove straight to Phuket Old Town. The atmosphere of the old town in the morning is quiet, with few cars and no tourists. I parked my car near the Charger Bank intersection or the yellow clock tower, a symbol of Phuket Old Town. In the morning, there are plenty of parking spaces, you can park anywhere. After parking, I walked towards the yellow clock tower.
At the corners of the Charterbank Building intersection, there will be mascots for each festival held in Phuket. Now that the Chinese New Year is approaching, Phuket Old Town has begun to be decorated with signs about the Vegetarian Festival, and mascots have been placed in various spots in the Old Town. At the Charterbank Building intersection, there will be a large Guanyin Mascot sitting on a lotus flower, surrounded by large lotus flowers.
At the yellow clock tower is a large white bear, as tall as the clock tower. This area is the most popular spot for tourists to take photos. The Vegetarian Festival in Phuket is held annually because many Chinese-Thai people immigrated here, which led to the Vegetarian Festival.
Near the Charterbank intersection is the Government Savings Bank, a large Sino-Portuguese-style building. In front of the Government Savings Bank building is a mascot of a Chinese girl wearing a pink cheongsam and holding a basket full of vegetables.
I walked along a quiet street in the early morning of Phuket Old Town. The sun was starting to shine golden on the Sino-Portuguese-style buildings. The doors were still closed because it was too early. These buildings were restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, and even guesthouses. Phuket Old Town started to get lively around 10:00 AM.
I walked in circles to see the architecture of the old town. Even though I come here very often, I never get bored because during the time I came, it was different. I walked until I started to feel tired and hungry, so I stopped at a Muslim restaurant that I usually eat at almost every time I walk around Phuket Old Town.
This place sells Muslim food and also has a wide variety of food to choose from. I ordered the shrimp paste fried rice which is my favorite menu because it is delicious and not salty. The shrimp paste fried rice is served on a plate with slightly sweet chicken and various vegetables and a small bowl of soup which has a very delicious flavor.
After finishing the rice mixed with shrimp paste, the thing that is a must-have when eating here is roti with egg and condensed milk, which I order every time I come to eat here. After eating, I walked back to the car to go home.
