Finally I arrived in my hometown, welcoming the beginning of Ramadan has become a tradition to visit my parents in the village. Moreover, all this time I was far from them, the distance between me and my parents in the village is 60 km.

Arriving in the village, after meeting my parents, I wandered around with my daughter. The atmosphere in my village is indeed surrounded by rice fields, so I really miss the rice field embankments in the village, especially remembering the school days, my friends and I often spent time in this rice field while eating fruit rujak.

In my hometown, green rice fields stretch out like a natural carpet that soothes when the planting season arrives like now. Green rice leaves sway in the wind, this is the kind of atmosphere that I always miss when I am far from my parents' house. The sound of gurgling irrigation water flowing between the rice fields, and storks looking for food among the rice leaves add to the peace that is felt so thick in every corner.

Before leaving here, I first bought some fried food, enjoying the natural scenery while snacking is certainly very exciting. Farmers began to clean the grass and fertilize their rice fields. Seeing the activities of farmers ready to work the land. They are used to the rhythm of life that depends on the season and nature. Every step they take on the rice fields brings hope for abundant results in the harvest season later.

This green rice field is not just a field of life in my opinion, but also a place to interact with nature. In the middle of the expanse of rice, you can also see various types of birds flying low, looking for food from the grass or small insects around the rice field. There is a lot of life that we can find here. Life here runs in harmony with nature, everything depends on each other. That is the atmosphere in the village, and I will not find this in the city

As far as I know, this planting season is held twice a year. In this area, the rice planting season is generally divided into two main periods, namely the first planting season and the second planting season. The first planting season usually starts in April to May, while the second season starts around October to November, it should be. However, this has been planted in January, because of the weather factors I mentioned earlier. Each period has its own challenges and advantages, depending on the weather patterns and irrigation available, for farmers.

In the early planting season, farmers here rely on sufficient rainfall to irrigate their rice fields. Because this season is close to the rainy season, natural irrigation from rainfall is often enough to meet the rice's water needs. However, this season is also prone to drought if the rain does not fall as expected. Therefore, many farmers use supplementary irrigation systems to ensure that their rice fields are protected from water shortages.

Meanwhile, the second planting season, which occurs at the end of the year, is more advantageous in terms of water availability. In this season, high rainfall intensity makes irrigation more abundant and facilitates rice growth. However, this second season also brings other challenges, such as the threat of flooding that can damage rice plants if the rainfall is too heavy in a short time. Farmers here often have to prepare a good drainage system to overcome the potential for flooding that can inundate their rice fields, and potentially cause losses in the future.

I really enjoyed my 2-day vacation in my hometown, seeing the green scenery is certainly a medicine for my eyes. Moreover, seeing the rice planting season here is an integral part of people's lives that is inseparable from the culture and economy of the area.

The day began to turn dark, the redness on the horizon began to look bright, I rushed to return home, because tonight is the first night of tarawih prayers that will be held in the month of Ramadan. I took some pictures of the sunset at the end of the rice fields, there is a beautiful mosque. Truly an unforgettable sight in the planting season full of stories.

I see farmers are very enthusiastic in this planting season, Although the challenges of weather and nature are always there, the enthusiasm of farmers to continue farming and cultivating their rice fields is very motivating. They continue to innovate and adapt in order to obtain abundant rice yields and provide welfare for their families and the wider community.

Well, my friend cch that's my experience today with my beautiful daughter, we really enjoyed the greenery in the rice fields. The beautiful sunset was also our farewell this afternoon in the rice fields of my hometown. Hopefully the next holiday will still have the opportunity to see the harvest season that will be worked on in the next 2 months.
