Children play with cannons from the second world war in the yard of the Iskandar Muda Clump Development Agency (Baperis) in Peuniti, Baiturrahman District, Banda Aceh City. Monday morning, December 27, 2021, there was a collective prayer held in memory of Sultan Iskandar Muda, the most famous king of Aceh in history. A joint prayer was held at that location because it was there that Sultan Iskandar Muda was buried.
Anak-anak bermain dengan meriam peninggalan perang dunia kedua di halaman gedung Badan Pembina Rumpun Iskandar Muda (Baperis) di Peuniti, Kecamatan Baiturrahman, Kota Banda Aceh. Senin pagi 27 Desember 2021 di sana sedang diadakan doa bersama untuk mengenang Sultan Iskandar Muda, raja Aceh yang paling terkenal dalam sejarah. Doa bersama dilaksanakan di lokasi itu karena di sana Sultan Iskandar Muda dimakamkan.
The children came with their parents to attend the event. When their parents were serious about the event, they seemed relaxed playing with the cannons that were displayed there. The cannons were the remnants of the second world war that the Acehnese fighters had taken from the Japanese army.
Anak-anak itu datang bersama orang tuanya untuk mengiuti acara tersebut. Ketika orang tua mereka serius mengiuti acara, mereka tampak santai bermain dengan meriam-meriam yang dipajangkan di sana. Meriam-meriam itu merupakan sisa perang dunia kedua yang direbut pejuang Aceh dari tentara Jepang.
In the history of the Japanese war in Aceh, when the Japanese left Aceh in 1942, several Japanese arsenals and military bases were seized by Acehnese fighters. With the weapons seized from the Japanese, the Acehnese fighters then fought the Dutch who tried to enter Aceh in the second aggression.
Dalam sejarah perang Jepang di Aceh, ketika Jepang pergi dari Aceh tahun 1942, beberapa gudang senjata dan pangkalan militer Jepang direbut oleh pejuang Aceh. Dengan senjata-senjata yang direbut dari Jepang itu pejuang Aceh kemudian melawan Belanda yang mencoba masuk ke Aceh pada agresi kedua.
