Ouch those squirrels can be mean when hungry. Late winter around here you can go squirrel fishing. Just tie a pecan or other nut at the end of a string and they squirrels will chase it down.
Haha, that's cute, you wouldn't get that close to our squirrels here. Maybe in the city parks where they are used of people walking around, but on the countryside they are more shy than anything else :)

There are flying squirrels here too but I've never seen them. They look like a sugar glider but are nocturnal and hide way at the top of trees in the day. Someday I hope to see one. The park squirrels are smart though they know humans bring them food. Maybe one day the flying squirrels will learn this and fly onto people from above begging for treats.
That would look so funny when someone walks through the park and suddenly a flying squirrel would land on his head, begging for some food and after a little lunch the squirrel jumps and flies away 😆
