Our house is located in Kazipur Upazila of Sirajganj District. There is a very beautiful small village in Kazipur Upazila, the village name is Purvakhukshia, here is my village house. Although the village is very small, there are many things in this village. Our East Khukshia village has a government primary school, a higher secondary school, a beautiful mosque and next to the mosque there is an Eidgah for offering Eid prayers.
Half of our Kazipur Upazila has gone under the Jamuna river. Our village is also not excluded from that part. Most of our East Khukshia village has gone under the Yamuna River. This Yamuna river is located on the east side of our village. The houses of most of the people in our village were affected by the Yamuna river erosion. Most of the people came to the western side of the village and built new houses. Our house is also a victim of Yamuna river erosion, we have also made a new house in another place.
Along the banks of the Yamuna river there is a road to protect the river, which in our language is called Wabda. River protection Many families have been saved from river erosion because of this road. Many have built their homes on the river bank, and are struggling to make ends meet.
A few days ago a new one was cut to protect the river on the east side of our village. The bunds are surrounded by sacks, due to which many parts of the village are protected from the erosion of the river. This new cut is made up to the middle of the river. It has been named "Joy Park" by many people as Joy Bad.
The place is so beautiful that it has become a small tourist center. When the river is full of water, many people come here to visit. Many people visit this place especially during various events like Eid. Then this Zai Park regained its life. Everyone comes here and many take boats to explore the river.
Some lights have been arranged for this place by Bangladesh Water Development Board. Due to which many people come to this place at night to see the moon. A very beautiful view of the sunset can be seen from here. Some trees were planted in this place by the people of our village, among which the tree mentioned in the picture is alive.
When I come home, I take my son for a walk every afternoon in this beautiful place. A mosque has been constructed here for the convenience of visitors. Yesterday I took my son and wandered around this place for a long time and took some pictures. In some of the mentioned pictures you can see my elder son Afif.
I have many memories with the river Jumna in my life. And I have accumulated many words about Yamuna river, which if shared with you, you will like it, I will like it too. Another day I will write about the river Yamuna. Ending here as of today.
