Some time ago, in the midst of a challenging journey, I found a cafe located at the peak of Mount Salak. Imagine, among the green trees and the cool breeze that caressed my face, I was greeted by a truly tempting sight, namely a bowl of soto Lamongan that was ready to entertain my tongue, especially in the midst of my hunger, of course I really enjoyed enjoying hot soto in the cold mountain weather.
The soto was served in a brightly colored bowl, as if to say, "Come on, try me hehe!" The thick golden yellow broth caught my attention. In it, juicy pieces of chicken, fragrant spices, and fresh vegetables such as coriander leaves and green onions blended harmoniously. I couldn't help but admire the beauty of this dish.
When the aroma of the spices touched my nose, I was immediately hungry, hehe. And what I like most about this soto is that it doesn't use coconut milk, unlike most other soto. Maybe this is what makes the rich and fresh broth taste more prominent so that I feel lighter unlike after eating a heavy meal that makes my stomach feel full hehe.
As soon as the first spoon touched my tongue at that time, I felt an extraordinary explosion of flavors including sweet and sour mixed in it. 'This is it!' I said in my heart. Not just food but also a reminder that sometimes happiness can be found in simple things like a bowl of this soto, although simple but rich in taste.
After eating it, I nodded in satisfaction to the waiter and it was not without reason. Of course, in the midst of the natural beauty of the mountains, of course this bowl of Lamongan soto is a solace. I also have to admit that Lamongan soto is not just food but also a story that can be shared with anyone who is able to reach this post.
