At that time, the afternoon felt cool with a gentle breeze blowing in the park where I usually jog. The sky was slightly orange, and the atmosphere was so peaceful. In a corner of the park, my eyes caught the figure of an old cat with an interesting fur pattern—white, black, and orange blended on its body, like a natural painting. There was a small wound on its head, probably the result of a fight with another cat, but it didn't seem disturbed, instead it looked calm and tame.

I approached it slowly, afraid of startling it. The cat only turned its head for a moment, then returned to sitting relaxed near the concrete wall pillar. Suddenly, curiosity moved my hand to take my smartphone from my pants pocket. I took a picture of the cat carefully, trying to capture the simplicity yet elegance of this animal in the camera shot. Even though it was injured, it still showed a strange calmness, as if it knew that life goes on despite the small scratches.

After a few shots, I stopped for a moment, sitting near it. The cat didn't run away, instead it looked at me with its dull eyes full of stories. I was reminded of how often we as humans are in a hurry, busy with big things, while simple moments like this, sitting with an old cat in the park, can provide a sense of peace that is hard to explain. Truly, this moment seemed to slow down time.

Soon, the cat stood up and walked away, perhaps looking for a more comfortable place to rest. I could only smile a little, feeling lucky to be able to capture this brief but meaningful encounter. As I continued jogging, the image of the old cat with the wound on its head kept crossing my mind, that in simplicity and wounds, we can still find beauty and serenity.

That afternoon was not only about exercising, but also about the small moments that suddenly fill our day with something more. The old cat, even if only for a moment, taught me that sometimes, we need to stop for a moment and look around, maybe there are simple things that make life feel more meaningful.

Poor cat he must have been beaten after stealing food in somebody's kitchen.

Thank you very much for your comment, it could be as you say besides another cat fight.👌

If you can, next time spray seawater oven the injury to help its natural healing process.
Or in the case of old or frágil animals (including humans) you can dilute 1/4 of seawater in 3/4 of plain water to drink instead of just plain water everyday.

Thanks for the thoughtful advice!🙏
