Bangladesh is a beautiful country known for its lush forests, flowing rivers, green hills, and beaches. The poet aptly named it Rupasi Bengali due to its charm. It is a diverse nation with six distinct seasons, each inspiring poets throughout history. The Himalayas lie to the north and the Bay of Bengal to the south, creating a serene oasis in Asia.
From Teknaf to Tentulia, its varied landscapes present breathtaking beauty. In the summer months of Baisakh and Jaishtha, the sun heats the land, leading to dried rivers and cracked ground. Late summer brings Kalabaisakhi storms and an abundance of fruit-laden trees like mangoes, jackfruits, and litchis, adding to the sensory experiences of the season.
After summer, the rainy season arrives, bringing heavy rains that cool the heat and refresh the surroundings. Despite summer's dryness, flowers like Arjuna, Ipil, and Kankachura continue to bloom. The monsoon season, characterized by gentle rain and rhythmic sounds, captures the essence of Bengal. The atmosphere is enhanced by the melodies of raindrops and lush greenery as plants thrive.
Many flowers bloom during this time, including Bengal's national flower, Kaya-Kamini, Hijal, Bakul, and Sonalu. Jasmine is also present, but the standout is the Kadam, known for its captivating fragrance that permeates the air.
