Cook rice the old-fashioned way with firewood.

in CCH2 months ago

Hello everyone,
today is another day that my husband woke up early at 6 am and my husband is going to cook rice. This time, we will cook rice using an old-fashioned charcoal stove. Let's see how we cook rice. You can go and watch everyone.

My husband is making a fire to cook rice. My husband prepared the equipment for this fire, which included coconut husks, firewood, and small sticks. When he had everything, my husband brought it to the stove and placed the small sticks with the coconut husks. He then used a match to light the fire. Using coconut husks will make the fire start faster because coconut husks are shredded and easy to ignite. My husband also used coconut husks and small sticks to light the fire and then used his mouth to blow on the fire to make it start. Do you all think the fire will start? Yes, it will, but we used a lot of energy to make the fire this time. Once the fire started, we put the firewood that we had prepared into our charcoal stove. However, it took quite a while for it to stick. In fact, we could have used a fan to blow on it and it would have started as well. Some people might have used a fan to blow on the fire, but I didn’t use a fan. I just blew on the fire with my mouth because coconut husks ignite easily. Once the fire started, my husband took the wood that we put in the stove and put it in another stove because it would be higher than the ground now and there was firewood below. We used an old-fashioned rice cooker. Our rice cooker is good for cooking rice. We cook rice like this, the rice will be more fragrant and delicious than rice cooked on an electric stove. How is it? My home’s way of life is simple in the countryside.

***For the food, today I grilled fish. This fish is called snakehead fish. I got 2 fish from my husband's fishing trip. So I grilled them to eat with delicious dipping sauce. I also had grilled liver and grilled pig's ears. Grilling pig's ears takes quite a while. Before grilling the pig's ears, we have to boil them first because they will cook quickly and not be too hard. As for the grilled liver, we bought it from the market, seasoned it, and grilled it for a short while. As for the eyes, they don't grill for long either. But all in all, it took almost 1 hour to make our breakfast today. My grandmother came to my house early in the morning. She came to sit and eat. The elderly in my house like to eat betel nuts. They are green and cut into small pieces and put in betel leaves. Then, they are coated with red lime. This type of lime is edible. Then, we put the small pieces of betel nuts that my grandmother was cutting into them and wrap them together. Then, we chew them. When my grandmother chews betel nuts, her fermented water is red and cannot be swallowed. When she chews, she spit out the fermented water. The elderly like it a lot.

***My sister is raising his son, that is my nephew. My sister is feeding bananas to my son. My son or grandson does not have teeth yet, he cannot chew, but he can only suck the water of bananas. Mostly, my sister will mash bananas mixed with cooked rice, mash them finely and feed them to my grandson. But today, I tried letting my grandson try a banana, which is a whole banana. He can only suck on the banana. This type of banana is sweet, delicious, and nutritious. Eating bananas will help you poop easily. When my husband finished cooking the rice, he washed his hands and teased our grandson. This is the first grandson in our family. He is a lovely 7-month-old male grandson. My grandson is a good smiler, in a good mood, and easy to raise. He is not fussy, but he does not like to eat rice. He likes to eat only milk. In a month, the milk cost is tens of thousands because my grandson is a very good eater. My daily life is not much. When the rice is cooked and the food is ready, we sit down to eat together with my grandmother, my sister, my husband, my children, and 2 grandchildren. I hope everyone likes my article.
