도봉산 관음암(Dobongsan Gwaneumam)

Gwaneumam, which is the highest among the hermitages of Dobongsan, is a small temple with a long history of about 600 years. Unusually, there are not Daeungjeon, but Geuknakbojeon (極樂寶殿) and Five Baek Nahan. Geuknakbojeon, the second most numerous temple buildings in Korea after Daeungjeon, is where Buddha Amitabha, the owner of the Western Pure Land, is enshrined. On the left and right of Amitabha Buddha, the Bodhisattva of Kannon and the Bodhisattva of Daesa are co-ordinated.
