On a calm afternoon, the sunlight began to fade behind the trees, casting soft shadows over the small garden. Among the fresh green grass, the embarrassed princess flower stands gracefully. The small pink flowers glow softly in the fading light. When approached, the leaves slowly close together as if embarrassed, displaying unusual beauty and uniqueness. This shy princess flower, known by its scientific name Mimosa pudica, is famous for its unique ability, namely that its leaves will close when touched or shaken. This reaction is known as “tigmonasti,” namely movements triggered by physical stimuli. The shy nature of this flower gives the impression of being soft and fragile, but in fact this plant is quite tough as a means of defense to protect itself from predators.
