Ich bin immer wieder begeistert, wenn ich in die Landschaft der Algäuer Alpen komme. Allerdings war ich zum ersten Mal in dieser Gegend rund um Füssen. Bei Wanderungen durch dichte Wälder kommt man an wunderschönen Seen wie dem Alpsee und dem Forggensee vorbei, ein echtes Highlight. Ein weiterer Blickfang ist der Fluss Lech, der sich durch die Landschaft schlängelt.
I am always thrilled when I visit the landscape of the Algäu Alps. However, this was my first time in this area around Füssen. Hiking through dense forests, you pass beautiful lakes such as the Alpsee and Forggensee, a real highlight. Another eye-catcher is the river Lech, which meanders through the landscape.
In der Altstadt von Füssen fühlt man sich in die Vergangenheit zurückversetzt. Mittelalterliche Gassen und historische Gebäude wie das Hohe Schloss und das Kloster St. Mang erzählen von einer reichen Geschichte. Hier und da kann man noch Spuren aus der Zeit der Römer entdecken.
In the old town of Füssen, you feel like you've been transported back in time. Medieval alleyways and historic buildings such as the High Castle and St. Mang's Monastery tell of a rich history. Here and there you can still discover traces of Roman times.
Natürlich ist ein Besuch des weltberühmten Schlosses Neuschwanstein ein Muss. Das im 19. Jahrhundert von König Ludwig II. erbaute Schloss wirkt wie aus einem Märchenbuch. Die Innenräume (leider dürfen Besucher die Innenräume nicht fotografieren) sind ebenso beeindruckend wie die Außenarchitektur - ein echtes Muss für jeden Besucher!
Of course, a visit to the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle is a must. Built in the 19th century by King Ludwig II, the castle looks like something out of a fairytale book. The interiors (unfortunately visitors are not allowed to take photos of the interiors) are just as impressive as the exterior architecture - a real must for every visitor!
Die Suche nach einem Wohnmobilstellplatz gestaltete sich schwieriger als sonst. In Füssen gibt es drei Stellplätze. Alle drei liegen in einer Straße und waren bei unserer Ankunft alle belegt. Es gibt noch weitere Stellplätze in der Umgebung, die aber auch alle belegt waren, wie wir von anderen, die auch suchten, erfuhren. Aber wir wollten nicht so schnell aufgeben. Da wir zur Mittagszeit ankamen, machten wir eine Pause. Dann haben wir uns noch einmal alle Stellplätze angesehen und hatten Glück. Ich empfehle aber, einen Reservierungsdienst zu nutzen, wenn man gezielt reist. Plätze, die frei wurden, waren innerhalb weniger Minuten wieder belegt.
The search for a motorhome parking space turned out to be more difficult than usual. There are three pitches in Füssen. All three are in one street and were all occupied when we arrived. There are other pitches in the surrounding area, but they were also all occupied, as we found out from others who were also looking. But we didn't want to give up so quickly. As we arrived at lunchtime, we took a break. Then we checked out all the pitches again and were lucky. However, I recommend using a reservation service if you are traveling specifically. Seats that became free were filled again within a few minutes.
Mein Fazit:
Nicht nur Füssen und Neuschwanstein sind ein Eldorado für Natur- und Geschichtsliebhaber. Die Region ist ein perfektes Reiseziel, das eine beeindruckende Naturkulisse mit einer reichen Geschichte verbindet. Ich freue mich schon darauf, wiederzukommen und noch mehr zu sehen!
My conclusion:
Not only Füssen and Neuschwanstein are an Eldorado for nature and history lovers. The region is a perfect travel destination that combines an impressive natural backdrop with a rich history. I'm already looking forward to coming back and seeing even more!
Der Wohnmobilstellplatz ...
The RV park ...
Wie bereits erwähnt, gibt es drei Stellplätze. Füssen und Neuschwanstein sind beliebte Ausflugsziele, besonders für Wohnmobilisten. Deshalb füllen sich die Stellplätze in der Umgebung relativ schnell. Ohne Reservierung ist das Glückssache. Solange die Kette mit dem Schild „Alle Stellplätze belegt“ nicht am Eingang hängt, kann man Glück haben. Aber wenn die Kette hängt, geht nichts mehr. Wir hatten Glück und fanden einen Stellplatz für 2 Tage auf dem Wohnmobilstellplatz „Füssen Mobil“. Der Wohnmobilstellplatz ist gebührenpflichtig und kann ganzjährig genutzt werden. Die Stellplätze sind weitgehend eben. Auf einigen Stellplätzen sind jedoch Unterlegkeile erforderlich. Toiletten, Duschen, Frischwasser und Strom sind vorhanden. Die Entsorgung von Grauwasser und Chemietoiletten ist ebenfalls gewährleistet. Die Anmeldung und Bezahlung erfolgt gegenüber dem Fitnesscenter. Ca. 100 m von der Anlage entfernt befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle, von der aus man ins Stadtzentrum fahren oder die 1,5 km zu Fuß gehen kann. Das Schloss Neuschwanstein ist über schöne Wanderwege zu erreichen. Sie können auch den Bus vom Bahnhof Füssen nehmen. Die Busfahrt innerhalb der Stadt ist kostenlos. Die Busfahrt zum Schloss ist jedoch kostenpflichtig. Die Rad- und Wanderwege sind ausgeschildert.
As already mentioned, there are three pitches. Füssen and Neuschwanstein are popular excursion destinations, especially for motorhome drivers. That's why the pitches in the area fill up relatively quickly. Without a reservation, it's a matter of luck. As long as the chain with the sign “All pitches occupied” is not hanging at the entrance, you can be lucky. But once the chain is up, nothing works. We were lucky and found a place to park for 2 days at the “Füssen Mobil” motorhome site. The motorhome parking space is subject to a charge and can be used all year round. The pitches are largely level. However, chocks are required on some pitches. Toilets, showers, fresh water and electricity are available. Disposal of gray water and chemical toilets is also guaranteed. Registration and payment take place opposite the fitness center. There is a bus stop approx. 100 m from the facility, from where you can travel to the city center or walk the 1.5 km. Neuschwanstein Castle can be reached via beautiful hiking trails. You can also take the bus from Füssen station. The bus ride within the town is free of charge. However, there is a charge for the bus ride to the castle. Cycling and hiking trails are signposted.
