Mushrooms Growing on Rotten Areca Nut Trees

in CCH10 days ago (edited)

Hello Hivers...

In this post I share some photos of mushrooms growing on rotten areca nut trees on the banks of a small river. I took this photo when I visited my friend's garden in Geumpang, Pidie, Aceh. There are two ways to take photos of the mushrooms from downstream and upstream so the photos I produced are not the same.

Fungi are organisms that can grow on various substrates, including rotting wood. Rotting areca palm trees are an ideal place for fungi because of their high humidity and abundant organic content.

The presence of these fungi indicates that the areca palm tree is unhealthy or dead. In addition, if the fungus attacks a living tree, this could be an indication of a fungal disease that can damage the structure of the tree. Therefore, the management and prevention of warnings on areca palm trees need to be considered, especially in plantations, so that the harvest continues

However, some types of fungi that grow on rotten wood have benefits, both as traditional medicine ingredients and as natural indicators of environmental conditions. Therefore, understanding the types of fungi that grow on rotten areca palm trees can help in preserving trees and utilizing them more optimally. That's all my post on this occasion, I hope you like it.

Important Note: I wrote in Indonesian, then translated it using Google Translate.
