UNA NECESARIA UBICACIÓN EN LO GEOGRÁFICO/A NECESSARY GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION...
Cerca de Cumaná, capital del estado Sucre en Venezuela, conocida como la Primogénita del Continente Americano, se encuentra el pueblo que nos vió nacer, Marigüitar. Este enclave territorial hecho poblado desde el año 1700, duerme a orillas del Golfo de Cariaco en el curso de oeste a este de nuestro estado, con un habitual calor que ronda los 28 grados.

En la genética familiar hay una tendencia manifiesta por las Artes Plásticas y las Manualidades, mis herman@s mayores, de la primera relación de mi padre al igual que los de la segunda conjunción cultivaron expresiones artísticas por lo que existen Pintores, Carpinteros, Modistas, Escritores, Ebanistas, Artesanos, Músicos, Reposteros, quienes capitalizaban sin coincidencias asociadas las referencias del quehacer. Estos procederes se han mantenido en las generaciones subsiguientes. De tal manera que me tocó enfrentar mi realidad con esa carga biológica. Así se fue construyendo un vínculo permanente entre mi persona, la escuela, la calle, la Universidad y la vida misma.

UNA PRUEBA ALGO TEMPRANA/A SOMEWHAT EARLY TEST
Uno de los primeros combates por la vida, fue atender una operación de las amigdalas. Me hice gestor de la misma a los 11 años, por lo que no me quedó más remedio que dormir cerca de una persona que estaba ya en el término de muerte con tal de asegurar la cama que por cierto estaban escasas en esos tiempos. Al concluir el ciclo de formación básica (Primaria) por no existir instituciones de Educación Media en mi pueblo de Marigüitar, tuve que trasladarme a Cumaná para proseguir los estudios. Debía ir solo a los 12 años, quedarme en una residencia familiar y regresar al hogar, mi dulce hogar, cada 15 días.

Confieso que me tocó vivir esta etapa en una sociedad cargada de valores y principios, donde el respeto por el semejante era de primer orden. Una sociedad de iguales sin oportunismos. Nuestro norte al divertirnos, fue el entretenimiento sano, provisto de sueños e ilusiones, impregnado de querencias posibles que ayudaran a la construcción de realidades.

En el devenir de los años, llegaron los estudios superiores y Cumaná no reparaba en el logro de las aspiraciones personales. Por eso Caracas se convirtió en una meta a corto plazo para facilitar el ascenso y el crecimiento académico.

En el IPC, se fue construyendo un perfil que tenía ribetes de pedagogo y artista, 2 tendencias que muchos señalan como irreconciliables. El sostenimiento de estas facetas era también un reto, porque el tiempo de dedicación no daba lugar para compartirlas.
