Hive Stock Images: Numbers (0-5) - Colorful 0-5 and Colorblind 0-1

NEW YEAR!

Am I late or am I late? Or terribly early since Chinese New Year is still yet to come. But I'm not Chinese. Well, I won't let that bother me. There's only one small country between China and Finland so we're practically neighbors.

I realized that I haven't published my CC BY creations to Hive Stock Images at all. Or I have but I've forgotten it and so has the internet because I couldn't find any evidence of it. So it's about time to do something about it!

My numbers and creatures are generated the same way. At first I draw multiple different layers in Photoshop that are designed to fit together, load the images to internet and let a code in my website combine the layers randomly. In creature site it's different bodies combined with limbs, eyes, accessories etc and in number site a certain number with few different colored backgrounds with different opacities.

And before we go any further, let me make one thing clear:

These are NOT AI images!

I assure you. No intelligence was used. No brain at all. The original drawer, I, have no brains despite of years and years of vigorous efforts in finding one and other kind of intelligence is also not used because I have not seen one used here, in this case, today or in any day in my head or in the code when it combines the layers. It just does what it's told to and as we all know, that's not intelligent at all. And also the artificial part, not true at all. I am made of organic bone, home grown muscles, clearly visible hanging skin that is the result of several years gone by, few original hear here and there, foolishly ludicrous but black Finnish humor and wildly bouncing, quite clearly living few brain cells that generate new and original ideas, as much as original thoughts that any human can get despite the fact that thousands and thousands of generations have gone by so someone at some point has had the same thought as I or you now or last week or will have in the future.

So are we clear about that? No AI used.

Let's move to how to use the generated numbers.

Go to the page: https://www.insaneworks.fi/numbers, click on the number you want, a new tab opens, download it and use it where you want. Licence: CC BY 4.0. If you are not happy with the number you get, refresh the page. And refresh it again as many times as you like. Until you get the color combination you like.

There are available numbers with colorful background from 0 to 5. And only 0 and 1 as the colorblind test numbers. (lookalikes) So if you are colorblind and can't see a number where the tiny balls form a circle, you can always guess and at this point you have a 50-50 change in guessing the correct number. My plan is to make more numbers though.

000.png

But as the code randomly combines the colors and numbers each time you refresh the page, the number formed by the tiny balls in the circle isn't necessarily unrecognizable to a colorblind person because hue and brightness also matter. And of course which type of colorblindness.

If you're not colorblind and wondering how the numbers look like to a colorblind, here's a handy little helper: https://www.toptal.com/designers/colorfilter.

It's also useful if you design websites and wonder the same thing.

Anyway, you can use the numbers in this post or search better ones from the numbers site and use the numbers as the Hive Stock Images rules or the CC BY license defines the use of my digital images.

If you have no idea what you just read and find yourself wondering things like:
"What...?"
or
"What's in it for me?"
or
"Whose stupid idea was this?"
or
"Where and why would I use these, I can write my own numbers."
or
"Small numbers are stupid, I never use them, only at least six figure numbers."
or
"I have so many questions but am too baffled to ask any questions right now, I have to think."
or
...anything else that you can think of. I surely do have the answer for you! Right after these marvelous numbers.

As I said, the creatures are built the same way as the numbers so any rule in the code that is in the creatures, applies to the numbers. In all of these posts there are answers to your questions. Also the ones you didn't ask or think about right away. For instance: "Quo Vadis", "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and "What About Bob?"
