Hi,
my entry for this #challenge is about the "Mind" topic.
I have chosen to maintain a direct connection between physicality and the word proposed for the challenge, wanting to illustrate something metaphysical, however.
From now on I think it is better to add my signature to the #images I create, but if that bothers the #community, I can attach the "clean" version.
Starting with the intricate concept of the #mind, thoughts, and the infinite possible realities represented by a "maze brain," I initially wanted an explosion of colors, setting up colored beams (could have been light beams) but realized as I went along that it would not add real meaning to what I already minimalistically wanted to represent with the 3D sculpture.
So, starting from the classic 3D cube I roughly sculpted a human torso without distinctive features and then re-topologized it.
I created the "labyrinth brain" by giving it a rainbow of #colors and contrasted it at the bottom with a black, heavy block to immobilize the human at mouth level.
Against a soft indefinite background I then visualize the two main elements: an open, colorful mind that can represent freedom of thoughts and express #freedom, against a black block on speech, as the impediment, the obstacle.
I wanted the eyes closed to maintain an anonymous expression on the #face.
The 'floating black square element' I liked to think of it as a vibrant extension of the black block. It has no real meaning but I found it fit within the overall #metaphysical vision of the image.
I add the steps for the whole process.
Hope you like it.
Ciao!
