Hi Hivers!
This is my first time posting on Stock Images Community. I've seen a lot of amazing and unique posts about so many things in this community and this time I would like to share some of my collection too.

On this occasion, I would like to share some pictures about dense corals from the genus Acropora and small schooling of Blue-Green Damselfish (Chromis viridis). Under the sea, corals are one of the eye-catching creatures, which made them one of the things that we look forward to seeing in every dive. This creature has an amazing shape and color variety. The color of corals comes from the result of their symbiosis with microalgae called zooxanthellae.

In addition to their beauty, these creatures also have a very important function because it is used as a location for feeding, spawning, and nursery ground by various types of reef fish around them. Acropora is one of the most common coral here in Aceh (Indonesia). Throughout the dives I've done around the Aceh region, maybe about 80% of the total dives I always find this type of coral. Along with it, The Blue-Green Damselfish are often seen from schools in aggregation around Acropora.

About the shape of the coral, as far as I know, the Acropora growth-form consists of Branching (Digitate, Elkhorn) that look like a very dense branching tree and Tabular that look like a table. As in the picture above, all those dense coral are Acropora. Apart from the suitable water conditions, this can also happen because Acropora has a rapid growth rate compared to other types of coral
