I take it nobody has had any problems on it ? Just one question... What happens if two people are going in opposite directions?

Good question; if there was another boat going in the opposite direction, that would have to moor up and wait.
The same for the locks: the engineering system that takes the boats to different levels (like climbing a hill, since the canals are manmade).

No toll at all. The annual licence allows you to cruise for free anywhere on the network. You only need to pay a fee if you stay at marinas:)
Annual license??? I've never heard of needing a license for a private boat... But it definitely sounds like it's worth it!
