A year ago I drove down River Road to fly my drone around and I spotted them building a new Son's Island right on the water. There's one in Seguin on Lake Placid that features a ton of cabanas that you can rent out for glamping, grilling and hanging and it's a super popular spot - so naturally I was so excited New Braunfels is getting its own cabana situation on the Guadalupe River.
To be honest, I still haven't gone back to see how it looks after they completed building the huts but I found their website and it looks like a nice spot to swim and relax. I'll have to head out there next summer once That Texas Heat is upon us.
