The Highlands Challenge

in Kidz Community3 years ago

I am still working on the next chapter in my book Days of Fantasy. But today I wanted to make a post about The Highlands Challenge 2022 that @apanamamama mentioned me participating in.

It was really fun. There were about fourteen teams at the start.

We were the last team getting to the bikes, but one of the other teams had a problem with one of their bikes, so we passed them.

We had to run, hike, bike, climb a rope, and swim. This was not as hard as hiking Volcan Baru, so I was a little ahead some of the time.

Our team's name was Luciérnagas (Fireflies in English).

We had to make two tripods, hang a hammock on them, and lay down.

We thought that we would come in last place, but two of the teams quit and we passed one at the last second. We were in eleventh place.

That sign means FINISH in English. This is a photo taken from a car. There were a lot more people there when we made it across the finish line.

This is after we made it to the end. We got pretty muddy toward the end. The team in first took one hour and forty minutes and we took four hours. Doing the Highlands Challenge was a good experience for us.

So glad you had fun! Your mama was dying! Ha!

You were supposed to think it was a fun family activity😁.

It might have been if we didn't have to ride 8km uphill!! 🚴😂
