Hoban "Wash" Washburne, the pilot of the Serenity, a Class 3 Firefly starship, uttered these words in the 2005 film Serenity:
"I am a leaf on the wind...Watch how I soar!"
He knew, instinctively, that there was a power in summoning the feeling of the wish fullfilled.
Neville Goddard, the Barbados mystic, wrote:
“Assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled and observe the route that your attention follows.”
This is the key to everything.
If you're a writer, find the feeling and you will find the heart of your reader, unguarded and open to your words.
If you are a businessperson, find the feeling of the end state you desire and the ideas, the people and the actions you need to take will present themselves to you, easily and effortlessly.
If you are a libertarian, hungry for the world to change, for people to see your worldview and for things to get better, find the feeling place of that world and live in it emotionally.
We Live Out Our Stories & Inner Images
We think in stories, and we live out only those that we deeply (and most likely unconsciously) believe apply to us. You don't have to believe in the law of attraction or vibration or that thoughts create reality, but you can easily prove to yourself that your internal image of reality, your feeling about things, largely determines that your outcomes conform to that feeling.
Our emotions are a guidance system telling us if we are moving towards things we want or away from them. It really is that simple. If you take a moment, or two, to feel the feeling of your desire being fulfilled, right here and right now, you are pointing your thoughts toward a better future. A happier future.
This isn't about visualizing. It is about evoking a feeling from the visualization. If you don't feel it, it ain't real. You can consider that the most basic rule.
I have done this with my love life, with money, with health and with my writing. It works.
I can't tell you how the Universe works its magic or even if it is magic or simple science still inaccessible to us humans, but if you find the feeling place, the manifested desire will find you. That's a promise.
"But it ain't all buttons and charts, little albatross. You know what the first rule of flyin' is? Love. You can know all the math in the 'Verse, but take a boat in the air you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells ya she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her home."
―Malcolm Reynolds
