RE: What does crypto represent for you?

That was a very cool story! Bumps and everything, that's what makes us grow and improve to be better today! Proud and happy to know you more :)

My experience with Crypto has pretty much the same age as I started here on the blockchain, that time Steem and now Hive.
Thanks to the training provided by @clicktrackprofit and learning the tokenomics here with Hive and Hive Engine tokens I got to understand more about crypto and start to invest a little bit in some outside/traditional crypto like BTC, ETH, and LTC.

My knowledge about Crypto in the past was considering Bitcoin like any other type of stock market or something that I was either afraid to get into or no money to invest in...

I know a thing or two about trading because I did Sports Trading when Betfair was allowed in my country and trading software was open source. Learned to do trading in Soccer and US Horse Racing (UK Horse Racing had a lot more money volume but too risky and a lot of movements for me lol) and thanks to that I made enough money to finish paying my last billing of the Spa Therapy course that was doing at the time! Then the government thought that we were doing too much money with it and closed it until today. Betfair was the only website that you could do the normal betting and do cashback/bet against during a game comparing to the other sports betting programs. Now only a few betting programs are up in the country but just normal betting and pray for a win until the end of the game lol

Even though the different types of trading but the very basics are a bit the same. Buy low and try to sell as high as possible. In Sports, the trading is in game/live - short term - and our "token trading" here is more hodling but one day selling high - long term.

Still have a lot to learn but I also love this community driven tokenomics and having support from everyone! I just wish I could contribute more to everyone but I'll do my best with what I have :)

It's cool to read different stories, thank you so much for these awesome missions!

I didn't know that you were doing sports betting :) I have tried very shortly that, but as it is gambling, I quit... But, I was a big fan of arbitrage betting... Winning in any possible final result was my best game... lol... No luck involved... :)

I was using 5-6 sports betting websites at the same time, and arbitrage bets between the platforms... Yes, earnings weren't that big, but they were stable... If my time wins, I get paid, if they lose, I get paid... win-win :)

I think that that was why I like HIVE, and now, this project that we have started with Achim... Everyone wins! No better thing to see than that!

Thanks for sharing your story!

It is gambling but with trading, you could go to other types of betting like for example in a game where there are two big teams playing and normally there are a lot of goals during those games, you could bet on +2,5 goals (why the half goal I don't know but the goals betting were normally like this lol), add an order on the "lowest ask" odd and then as you watch the game, once the first goal as in it spikes to a profit as the odd gets small for more probability that a second goal would appear. You could either gamble and leave the bet believing and from you know from the two teams you will win the bet, or play safe and close/cashback the bet and get the profit. Only Betfair had the buy and sell orders feature, if that makes sense, comparing to the normal betting programs.
And that needs some teams stats studying and avoiding some games where my team was playing, trading needs more mind and less emotion lol

Glad that I still remember some things thanks for the mission 😋

2 credits and 3 bonus credits added!

Thanks a lot for this great comment Eliana!

It's very interesting to see this past in sports betting. This is one thing I have never tried. Probably because trading stresses me too much :-). You are quite right. It has a lot of similarities with market trading. It's also a lot about human psychology I believe, trying to read and anticipate other people's behaviour.

That's why I got better results at horse racing than soccer! With soccer, I tend to go with emotion for certain clubs and I don't know much about the horses besides their stats from past races lol
I was unemployed at that time so had to work with little money and have a lot of bankroll management. When I got to a certain amount of money I would add a bit more on the betting value and grow little by little.

This was my best month just on horses - March 2012, time flies...and I think it was a few months later that Betfair went down...

Sometimes I miss it but I'm happy to be in this new adventure now :)

That's quite a nice income there! I think I would stress too much betting on sports:-)
