The Taskmaster4450 Formula

I like @taskmaster4450

He's a savvy guy!

As one of the top content creators on Hive, it was a no brainer for me to partner up with him to create the Crypto Maniac podcast! I learn a lot from his knowledge, and always enjoy a rant or two from the good sir!

Over the years of doing our show together, one 'nugget' he shared with listeners was his '500 comments' formula.

In a nutshell, it works like this...

Task states, if you don't like the results you are seeing on Hive, go make 500 comments and then see what those results are like!

Let's break this down....

If we want to make 500 comments in a calendar month, we'd need around 17 comments a day. Seems VERY doable, pretty much you can pick your favorite front end and engage with the amazing members of the community. If all goes to plan, in about a month, you'll hit 500 comments!

Tonight, I wanted to highlight some of the front ends I think can really help you hit those 500 comments...And bring a LOT more activity to your account and Hive overall. Because the more we are actually using this blockchain every day, the better!

Veews

logosm.png

It goes without saying, I've been using Veews a lot to not only curate and discover some very cool content on Hive. But I've also been using it a lot to actually make comments on the blockchain!

Veewing.png

I'm a little biased but I think Veews is the perfect tool to get your 'Taskmaster 500 formula' numbers up :)

Threads

leofinance.png

I love me some LEO!! And THREADS is just brilliant to really spice up the engagement and stack those comments up.

Threads-Replies-to-forexbrokr-—-LeoFinance.png

Remember, THREADS is the 'Project Blank' project that aims to bring micro blogging to the blockchain like never before. So short, engaging comments are what is needed for this project to really get going!

Reverio

Disclaimer: I just started poking around Reverio this afternoon....

But wow, what an awesome tool at our disposal to really increase engagement and comments on the blockchain!

Explore-Answers.png

This is Quora on Hive and is literally built for....Questions and answers! I'm not sure there is a better way to build your brand on Hive as someone who is looking to add value to others, than by using this app!

Love it and plan to use it a lot more down the road!

See, here's 3 new tools on Hive that aren't your typical front ends...Combined with things like Liketu, dBuzz and of course Peakd and Ecency....Hitting 500 comments a month is easier than ever before!

Of course, if you want to make excuses and find the reasons why you can't make those 500 comments on the blockchain....You'll find them!

However if you want to drive MASSIVE value to Hive, and see your results in crease....Use these tools I've mentioned above or find your preferred front end and let's get to work :)

What are some of your favorite tools on Hive to get those comment count up?

Engagement on Reverio is amazing, too. Even if a question isn't answered (or answered immediately), it can receive a good number of upvotes.

Anyone looking to get a boost in earnings should include Reverio in his/her daily routine. Just be sure to post in earnest.

I love that they do it the same way Threads does. So a question isn't considered a 'blog post' but a comment. Brilliant stuff!

!CTP

Initially, questions were blog posts on Reverio. One of the upgrades was to switch to the LeoThreads model where the "question" is actually a comment to a hiddlen post. Reverio takes it a step further and gives us the option to post the question either as a blog post or as a comment to the hidden post.I discovered this the hard way the other day!

Indeed. I have to agree and I tell my little class of Hive students the same thing.

Obviously the other thing a person HAS to do is to post regularly.

Like you and my friend @joetunex, I decided DAILY is probably the best. Twice a day is even better.

People make excuses but man, I faltered a bit in the beginning of the project at the docks, but soon got into a rhythm and was posting twice a day regardless of my 12 hour work day!

I probably did NOT make 17 comments a day though... that is something that I will have to bring back into the habits now that I am off the ship!

Cheers! !PIZZA

You are doing great on Hive as well Zak, onboarding people and keeping them together by consistently motivating is not easy.

And yes posting every is a must for me personally, it is a habit I have cultivated from day one of my Hive journey and it's been fun sticking to it.

It will be great if you are able to post daily as well, at this stage I can't compare you to me lol, you're a family man and employee. Am still a singleton with no family yet 😃😃 so the likes of you with family and still busy on Hive will be my motivation when I do have a family of mine.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Despite all of that... or because of it, my motivation is to keep active on Hive!

I mean, we can stretch it out too...17 a day is just that 1 month target and I'm sure it's not an exact science. I think the main point Task always wants to stress is....We can control how much people see us and remain top of mind to the entire community.

The more active we are on chain, the better!

!CTP

It's a numbers game. 17 comments a day is doable, especially across a series of dApps and communities.

High output doesn't guarantee earnings of course. However, low output guarantees minimal to zero earnings.

Post 2x daily, or 17 comments a day, or both-- whatever works.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Indeed. I think ANY movement on the chain is always better than none at all.

But yes. If you do not like the results, moaning about it will always do ZERO and making 500 comments in a month will always be more rewarding!

I generally use ecency desktop and leofinance web interface for comments and curation
Reverio looks good, so far I have posted three questions on reverio.
I have yet to fully use veews.
I sometimes go into Leo threads to post a thread and comment on few.

@jongolson! You Are Alive so I just staked 0.1 $ALIVE to your account on behalf of @imfarhad. (1/20)

The tip has been paid for by the We Are Alive Tribe through the earnings on @alive.chat, feel free to swing by our daily chat any time you want.

Might be in people's best interest to use Veews a lot right now...

This is not insider information at all!!!! lol

!CTP

Task is an inspiration to the Hive community, the 500 comments is a brilliant one and doable.
It has been mostly Leofinance frontline end for me, Threads now and then, and Through Peakd. I've got to make time for other frontends like the ones you mentioned. We are blessed with options on the chain the more we spread out and tap into more DApps the better.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's what is so cool about Hive. Different platforms for everyone's tastes!

!CTP

I don't really use that many tools and I just go through my feed. It was taskmaster that pushed me towards commenting and it has worked out well so far due to it. I definitely think you will gain results so long as you make meaningful comments during the process.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

First person I think of when I think of the 'formula' is you!

!CTP

It was a no-brainer to partner with task, he's got a lot of bright ideas and he's very innovative as well. I've been poking into veews a little bit, but I'm yet to go full rampage. I generally think that it's a great way to form one's engagement pattern and make them happen.

We've got so much planned for Veews. This has just been step 1 :)

!CTP

I may try some similar experiement next month. I am curious to see. Right now on average I have like 5 comments daily, probably.

That's fantastic! Anything we can do, to add more comments to the chain, the better!

!CTP

Making a community is the most important thing and appearing every day is the magic formula to achieve it.

Slow and steady! We're all in a good place!

!CTP

I just checked our reverio. I hope that it adds some value up for those of us who spend time on quora. I guess when we ask more questions and keep things going it would be a good start to traffic. I guess I will be spending the christmas holidays like this haha. That 500 comments idea does work but one has to be very consistent. :)

People are using Reverio, for sure. I'm surprised at the upvotes I get from some questions I've posted. Occasionally my questions get answered, too. I think Reverio is a dApp people have been waiting to use for a long time after Quello shut down last year.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It'll help everyone plus show so much more activity on chain. That's so crucial for actually using it every day!

!CTP

That's a really wise saying from the good sir! Making 500 comments will gain you a good exposure on the blockchain and push the ball rolling. Every post is like a location and the more you comment the more locations you visit which means the more you get seen. I normally use ecency mobile app for engaging, seems to be the fastest way to engage with Hive communities while on the fly.

Exactly! The more you are 'out there' the more value you bring to Hive. And anyone can do this, just takes a little bit of commitment and effort.

!CTP

17 comments a day is not a lot and it is easy to achieve with a little effort. I find it a little more difficult to post frequently, but it's a matter of trying and put some effort. The more active we are on the blockchain the better the results.
I haven't tried Reverio but these days I've been looking at Veews and is perfect to discover content from users we don't follow and may be interested in.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Long form posting isn't for everyone. Commenting is easier, but it requires many comments to generate the earnings of one post.

Microblogging may be the sweet spot for most of us: comments disguised as posts. LeoThreads is bridging the gap between long form blogging and commenting, as D.Buzz has been doing for a while.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I agree. Microblogging is a good alternative and Leo Threads can play a big role. Let's hope they become more and more popular.

I hope that's what all these different front ends bring to the table. The ability for anyone, no matter where they are, to engage with others.

!CTP

I'm a little biased but I think Veews is the perfect tool to get your 'Taskmaster 500 formula' numbers up :)

I'm not biased, but I am! I finally got to veews yesterday and couldn't leave for 1.5 hours. It reminded me of ticktock on blogs. !LOLZ I think I need more time to feel the posts starting to pick up on my 👍. But I really liked it!
!CTP
!invest_vote

Ha ha ha ha that's exactly what we want to hear :)

I have a dream that people just keep using it because the content they see, just gets better and better everytime they veew!

!CTP

Great! I think time will show the pros, and we will see a lot of people in veews! 💪🔥

What's the thinking behind this exactly? I think it takes a lot longer than a month to really start seeing results from regular commenting. If that isn't the case then I am doing something really wrong because I think I comment quite a bit each week. I'd have to find some kind of tool to check to be sure. For example, I read maybe half of Tasks posts. He just does so many it is hard to keep up. I have been doing that and commenting on them for probably a good year now. I'm pretty sure I can count on one hand (maybe two) the number of times he has come and commented on one of my posts though. I don't have a problem with that, it's his time to do what he wants. I'm just saying putting in the effort doesn't always net the result.

Just looking at the past 7 days from all your content...Seems to be attracting a decent amount of upvote and comments. I'm not giving this example as a way to judge whether Task shows up and comments on anyone's blogs, it's more big picture thinking...

The more comments you make, the more people are attracted to your content.

!CTP

Right, I wasn't trying to single out Task as bad thing. It was just the first example I could think of. I think that happens with a lot of the whale accounts. They clearly busy so it just doesn't happen they way you would hope. There are probably any number of people I could have used as an example. The sad thing is, a lot of my votes are auto I think, so I don't think the ratio really adds up. Especially when you look at what some other accounts are making. I think I had a post the other week that had close to 100 comments and it made crap in rewards. Again, I get that is all part of the game, I have been here long enough I don't really expect anything, but I can see why newer users get so confused or frustrated.

I think that's an excuse if whales say 'they are too busy'....We run a witness, develop countless projects on Hive, plus our offchain businesses and still have time to engage and show up. And it's frustrating at times, because anything CTP seems to do, generally is ignored by the top people on chain save a few awesome people.

I completely understand the frustration. lol

But again, I can never (just like you said) rely on anyone or any votes, all I can do is control my effort here.

I've actually never been told that by a whale, I just think it is the general perception. Yeah you guys are a perfect example. I know it is the bear and all, but with 50 comments, I'd expect this post to have earned more than $20.

Yeah it's frustrating, I see a lot more people on Hive do a lot less for this blockchain and get rewarded much more. But alas, that's not my decision on how much I get for my posts.

All we can ever focus on is our effort. And I've got faith, it'll all pay off down the road :)

Appreciate you man, thanks for coming by the blog!

No problem! I always enjoy checking out your stuff! Your group does do an exceptional amount of good for the blockchain. I hope you get the return that you deserve one day.

Thus far, I tend to just comment on things I like here. Good thing there's plenty to like! There's a lot of value in people's posts, and that's by design. Yours included - thank you for this informative post. 😊

Appreciate you stopping by :)

Yeah there is a ton of amazing stuff out there, love seeing all the creators we have on Hive thrive!

!CTP

You are sharing very informative and interesting knowledge with us. Everything takes time. If you like to start work on hive and you like to become a perfect content creator you almost need 3 to create posts. I learn alot from your posts. Thanks for sharing.

Glad to hear it, thanks for stopping by!

I don't really like to comment

I discovered Reverio a couple of days ago aswell which I really like. It's easy to interact with when on mobile. As writing decznt posts on Hive while being on mobile isn't that easy for me...
Mostly I am on mobile so..

It's really hard to share two posts a day and make 15-17 comments in the meantime. I don't think our friends who want to write quality posts can do this. If we want the things we are looking for in google to be directed to this site, we should write SEO-oriented while writing our articles after a while. This makes the posts ideal in my opinion, 1 post in 2 days. I think there will be both quality and worked on articles.

If there was a stock called Taskmaster500 I would go all in on it.

Btw Reverio needs more love on Hive. I love the UI and the possible exposure it could give us but it still seems to be flying under the radar.

Hi @jongolson, I've just found my way into veews and I'm a little confused 😁. Is there a post or show that sets out how it works? Many thanks 🙂

Edit: Oh, I scrolled down a bit more, I think I've just found one 😎

Truely there is nothing anyone would argue about in this contest, it is obvious that posting good content each day helps boost you. From gaining knowledge each day to boosting your earnings aswell 🎉🎉 cheers 🥂🥂🥂🥂 to all HIVERS.

Exactly that, the more we comment, the more value we add to Hive which in turn...Can potentially turn into rewards.
