I still question the notion of creativity in many genres of photography. For me, it's just an instant reaction to reality.
Reviewing my old archive, I found pictures in which I was already beginning to see something similar.
But it did not come to realization either because of a lack of courage, or because of a strong dependence on the opinions of others.
It seems to me that if my grown-up consciousness were to return me to the past, then I would succeed there.
But I wouldn't use it, but would just start to catch up, that is, to capture the reality that is no longer there.
Then photography was really like a hobby.
I could not take the camera in my hands for two weeks, and the number of photos per month was like now for a couple of days.
It still seems strange to me when photographers separate creativity and commissioned work.
Although I used to do it myself.
Now, too, there is no complete freedom: I still can't take pictures on the same frequency with the reportage and the street.
I have already learned Zen in the process of photographing – you need to take a picture right away so that you don't have to resort to processing later.
Now we need to come to another zen – to photograph on one creative wave – a wave called Self.
All creative waves or genres are all stereotypes, techniques, repetition of someone's chips and cliches.
And we need to go to zero, get rid of everything.
Only the essence of the "Self" and the reaction of this essence to the world should remain.
Yes, I know that before this you need to go through many stages of development, from the basics of composition, the ability to exhibit an exposition, knowledge of all the rules and creative techniques.
You can immediately, without knowing everything, start reacting to the world with a camera.
But what will come of it is no longer clear...
