Winter is probably very warm in all regions of Northwestern Russia this year. It rains every other day in Vologda, but it's snowing. This creates ice. We need to shoot!
I shot the icy graphics last spring at night with reflections and illumination from various signage.
But as a fact, the ice was still photographed.
It's a probing of a theme that started with cracked asphalt.
I need to document the warm winter and its consequences somehow.
But I still don't have enough time.
I need daylight, and these days I'm only free at night.
It's a pity that there will be a cold snap next week and I won't have time to capture puddles and ice.
But if it's going to be such a winter, then it's okay – there will be a lot of time.
The last time this happened was in 2020.
If the same winter happens again, it will be interesting!
Then the whole winter consisted of April and November.
Ice can be wet and dry.
The worst ice is when there is water on top.
But if everything freezes and no snow falls, then this is a different state, which is also suitable as a documentation of a natural phenomenon.
