Novlenskoye is a village in the Vologda district of Vologda region and the administrative center of Novlenskoye rural settlement. Vologda is 60 km away. The federal highway A119 passes through the village.
There are just over eight hundred residents.
I came here for the atmosphere of the place, not just for the dugouts.
There was just a terrible snowstorm that evening!
There are old garages here that look like vegetable storages on the map.
There are also dugouts, but more about them later.
Heavy snowfall with strong winds creates good patterns on the snow, and also gives some nebula.
The snow also highlights the triangular shapes of the roofs of old sheds... ah, I've already talked about this.
Yeap, it's just like fog! Even the rays from the lanterns are like fog!
There is a church of the Archangel Michael in Novlenskoye. But I'm not shooting only churches now, like I used to.

I was in Novlenskoye in the summer, but as it usually happens, I was passing through.
And it's very good here, despite the fact that there are still not enough interesting places.
Winter is still graphic too, thanks to the snowdrifts and the drawings on them.
This is not a dugout, but a house for a well or borehole...maybe even the column is closed there so that it doesn't freeze. But the house is too small for a dugout.
There are slightly smaller stables in the area of the semi-abandoned barnyard, but they are still huge!
Due to the strong wind in such places, it is creepy, as various dilapidated structures rattle and rustle.
There are only dugouts in one place – by the Bolshaya Elma River.
There are yard spaces, but I did not go around them, as there were more interesting places, well, there was little time.
The snowstorm is good!
