Photographic loneliness

I recently realized that photography is a hobby and a job for a loner. Especially in the genres in which I shoot.

I had the experience of photographing with like-minded people and this experience was unsuccessful.

With one photographer, we captured night views. We got roughly the same angles.

With another photographer, it came out about the same: we walked close to each other or even nearby and the pictures we got were similar in color, light and plot.

We have several photographers at work and no one ever crosses paths during filming.

You should always take pictures alone so that no one distracts and you can feel the atmosphere of the place or event.

I had a positive experience with my then girlfriend, now wife.

Although we went together, she was filming something of her own on a smartphone, and I was completely different on a camera.

We didn’t even have hidden competition, and it often happens between two like-minded photographers.

I also sometimes took a friend with me when shooting courtyards or abandoned villages at night.

But he is not a photographer at all! Although we could talk with him on the most profound philosophical and generally different topics.

If there is a circle of like-minded people, for example, in a street, then it would be right to distribute the task to everyone, disperse in different directions, shoot alone, and then all get together and analyze the footage.

Then, although there will be competition, it will be correct, kind, true.

No one will be able to spy on anyone and will think or feel only with their own consciousness.

To be continued...
