It was a car ride around the outskirts of Vologda. Sometimes it's useful to just drive around and explore nearby settlements, as well as alternative roads. Well, the weather itself made a challenge: all the vegetation around was covered with hoarfrost.
The first village of Kulemesovo was on the way to the village of Kubenskoye.
It lured to us peeping out of the bushes of the church.
The village itself turned out to be very cozy.
Well, I have long wanted to study the village of Kubenskoye in detail, but I still can’t do it..
There are small elevation differences and water bodies in the form of a river and a couple of lakes.
Lake Kubenskoye, if anything, is located a kilometer from the village.
We drove through the narrow streets and go further.

I just can't see enough of the domed churches. Such an amazing design that I find fascinating. I'm going to have to figure out how these are made at some point.
This is a beautiful, rustic-looking village. With that fresh snow, it looks perfect nestled amongst the trees.
