The coast of Cantabria, in addition to being one of the most impressive geological formations, whose origins are lost in that night of time, whose calderas swallowed and regurgitated continents following the dark patterns of the alchemy of life, is also a place in which that settle, with the flavor of time and tradition, populations whose attraction is difficult not to remember, especially in these times in which uncertainty seems determined, like a metaphorical weather vane, to distance us from a History, whose anecdotes, not yet appearing in the scrupulous pages of textbooks, they should not leave us indifferent, however.
It is known that this beautiful fishing village of Laredo was the first destination, on Spanish soil, that the very young Charles I of Spain and V of Germany - future father of Philip II - would spend before moving to the Court of Madrid. It happens that fate or destiny, always capricious, wanted that, a few miles from the coast, an unexpected and furious storm displaced his ship, until he landed, at a considerable distance, in the small Asturian port of Tazones, where he and his His companions were mistaken for pirates, and were about to be lynched by the enraged fishermen. A detail that, if it had occurred, would surely have completely changed the destiny of Spain.

Fishing in this kind of village will be very nice
The view looks very beautiful and you’d be inspired to fish over there😅
It is a very beautiful and very interesting place, bathed by the waters of one of the seas with the most character that exist: the Cantabrian Sea.
