Huesca and its Magic: not only the landscape, diverse like few others, has, in those impressive formations that receive the curious name of Mallos, one of the most representative geological examples that Nature, surpassing itself, is an unequalled and at the same time, inimitable artist, but also contains such a wide and meritorious wealth, such as, without a doubt, the unique picturesqueness of its towns, as well as the notable variety and quality of an architecture, the Romanesque, which, without a doubt, leaves a deep impression on the soul.
A few kilometers beyond the famous Mallos de Riglos, there is a town, called Agüero, settled on the edge of that other no less spectacular formation, which receives, as it could not be otherwise, the name of Mallos de Agüero, whose perspective, without a doubt, leaves a deep mark on the impression of pilgrims and tourists, giving the place a clearly fantastic aspect.
And it is not surprising, since, in addition to the intrinsic beauty that characterizes it, we must also add the immeasurable idiosyncrasy of two imposing Romanesque temples from the 12th century, that of The Salvator and that of the Saint James, which attest, in addition to their numerous enigmas, to the presence in the place of a mysterious Magister Muri or Master Stonemason who left his noble art along the main points of the Way of the Stars and who is known, precisely, as the Master of Agüero or of Saint John of the Rock, whom we will meet again, due to his notable activity, in the main cities of the Five Villages of Zaragoza.
Huesca y su Magia: no sólo el paisaje, diverso, como pocos, tiene, en esas impresionantes formaciones que reciben el curioso nombre de Mallos, uno de los ejemplos geológicos más representativos de que la Naturaleza, superándose a sí misma, es una artista inigualable y a la vez, inimitable, sino que, además, contiene una riqueza tan amplia y meritoria, como es, sin duda alguna, el singular pintoresquismo de sus pueblos, así como la notable variedad y calidad de una arquitectura, la Románica, que, sin duda alguna, deja una profunda impresión en el alma.
Algunos kilómetros más allá de los famosos Mallos de Riglos, se localiza un pueblo, de nombre Agüero, asentado a la vera de esa otra no menos espectacular formación, que recibe, como no podía ser de otra manera, el nombre de Mallos de Agüero, cuya perspectiva, sin duda alguna, deja una profunda huella en la impresión de los peregrinos y de los turistas, dotando al lugar de un aspecto netamente fantástico.
Y no es de extrañar, puesto que, además de la belleza intrínseca que lo caracteriza, hemos de añadirle, también, la inconmensurable idiosincrasia de dos imponentes templos románicos del siglo XII, el del Salvador y el de Santiago, que atestiguan, además de sus numerosos enigmas, la presencia en el lugar de un misterioso Magister Muri o Maestro Cantero que fue dejando su noble arte a lo largo de los principales puntos del Camino de las Estrellas y que se conoce, precisamente, como el Maestro de Agüero o de San Juan de la Peña, con el que volveremos a encontrarnos, por su notable actividad, en las principales ciudades de las Cinco Villas zaragozanas.
