Some sudden reflection 👹🍣🎎 Wonderful Japan

in Photographylast month

What can I say, October seems to be looking fairly normal so far. In terms of work, I now have a lot of appointments and quite much to do again, which I would actually count as one of the more positive things. And the beginning of the month didn't really give us much reason to complain about the weather either, as we were blessed with some wonderful days where we couldn't help but run out of the house and enjoy ourselves.

Autumn started quite late for us this year and I'm still walking around in shorts and a T-shirt at home most of the time. But now that I do put on a jacket from time to time, there's no mistaking that the cooler season has arrived. Even though until the weekend we could still expect temperatures of over 25 degrees every day, the nights have now become a little cooler. Which means that the thermometer has finally dropped below the 20 degree mark, where it hasn't been for several months. And tomorrow it's even supposed to stay there all day, which is almost a shock for us over here, that's how hard this “drop in temperature” hits us. But fortunately, things are supposed to pick up again afterwards and we can still expect temperatures of over 20 degrees. At least during the day, because at night the maximum temperature will now be around 15 degrees.

Sounds like a lot of drama and I know I'm actually reporting from a position of strength, because in my hometown the temperatures are only in the single digits at night and most people will have already turned on the heating. Fortunately, it hasn't got to that point here yet, although the heating season could well start as early as the end of this month. And that's despite the fact that many people were still using the air conditioning just a few days ago. The time between cooling and heating seems to be getting shorter and shorter, which may also be due to the very poor insulation of Japanese houses. If people would consider modern standards and possibilities, they could achieve a lot and make life within their own four walls much more comfortable. But well, that's a whole other topic.

I, for one, am still excited to see what October has in store for us. I'm hoping for a few more sunny days when we can enjoy the great outdoors. Even though I now need to tick off the swimming season this year, I still want to get out into the parks and forests of our region. Over the next few weeks we will get to see a very special spectacle there. The coming autumn colors promise to be something amazing again this year and I am really looking forward to the colorful fireworks that we will soon be able to witness.

And then at the latest it will probably be time to get out the warmer clothes. Although I don't even want to think about it yet, I shouldn't put this idea off too long. Unfortunately, the days and weeks continue to fly by and I'm amazed every time a week passes. Life is becoming more and more like a time-lapse, so I try to take every opportunity I get to slow down a little. Unfortunately, I'm not really succeeding these days. Maybe it's time for a little online abstinence again, at least when it comes to news and information. It did me a lot of good last time, so I should probably do it again.

But anyway, I am going to work on making this month one of the good ones for the coming year-review. First and foremost, I'm responsible for this myself, so I'd better start right away.

Bearing this in mind, have a great day folks...

~ PEACE!
