Just in time for the start of the week, it all started again. Actually, I was already saying goodbye to the cold season, but after an extremely mild weekend with temperatures in the double digits, winter is back and is going to give it another go. To make sure we don't forget it, when I was waking up on Monday morning it was snowing once again, thus confirming the weather forecast.
Well, in the end it didn't turn out to get all white, everywhere but it was a clear reminder that we shouldn't be lulled into a false sense of security. The beginning of March is rather undefined territory when it comes to the seasons. Winter may be wrapping up, but it hasn't quite said goodbye yet. Spring is already scuffling with its hooves, but hasn't quite broken cover yet either. The last few days have made this quite clear and confirmed my decision to keep my winter clothes in reach for the time being.
The next few days will be quite mixed in terms of the weather, although it should become much more pleasant again by the coming weekend. According to the forecast, we can expect three days of sunshine, which is something I haven't experienced here for a long time. Three full days of sunshine would probably be the last hint we need to finally bid farewell to winter and make way for spring.
Let's see if it really will come to that. Especially these days, the weather is rather changeable and unpredictable and in recent years there have always been extremely uncomfortable days in March that have made us doubt whether it really is going to be spring.
But as I don't usually let the weather affect my mood, I decided to take the opportunity and use the little snow that was on our doorstep to make two small snow figures. It was probably the last opportunity to do so this winter and I definitely didn't want to miss out.
Even though it was usually great fun playing in the snow, I'm hoping that the temperatures will rise this month. As already mentioned, we're expecting important visitors and of course I am planning to offer them something special. Double-digit temperatures and sunshine would be the best conditions for us to be able to get out of the house and be out and about.
I would therefore like to thank winter once again and wish it farewell. We'll definitely see each other again at the end of the year and I am sure then we will see some snow again. At least in our house there are some people who would certainly look forward to it....
Do you wanna build a snowman? I wanna build a snowman.
I love the winter because I want to see snow, unfortunately, we don't have snow in my country. But of course, sunshine is the best as you can do anything when the sun shines.
Snowmen always fun, let's build one!
