Indrija

in Photography5 years ago

Another of my favourite models to work with is Indrija.
The following shots were taken at a studio shoot in Nottingham, and to be fair I have many more from this shoot to post.

The first image is a straight shot that was edited in post. I can't lie, I like creating images that are colourful and interesting and sometimes this can't always be created in the shot.
Photoshop is a tool that I do enjoy using a lot but always with respect of the source material.
The straight image was one of the first taken that day, where Indrija was sat in front of a white background with a snooted light above and in front of her and a reflector underneath her chin which made the shots pop!

The second shot was fun. I had Indrija lay on the ground on some astro turf on one of the set pieces in the studio and scattered the rose petals around her head. I had already had this shot in mind before the shoot and had bought the rose petals online and the paint brush from B&Q.
Its one of the few times where I nailed the shot in the first take.
The rest was created in post on Photoshop where the can was added and the grey paint on the petals and Indrija.

And the final shot is the disco bunny.
On the day, I worked with Richard Gaynor who was a big help, but for some reason likes putting a large rabbits head on the model! Answers on a postcard please! The original shot of this was again shot on a white background, and was in fact one of the last of the session. I liked the image but wasn't sure of what to do with is, but I had Disco Bunny in my head so added the background to create a disco feel. I hope you like..
