I've been moving over pictures from my phone to my pc, which means looking at old photo's!
Back at the start of this whole Covid pandemic, I still had a job and we were forced to work from home. Our employer was a good one and kept reminding us to take breaks regularly and go outside for walks.
So that's what I did! This was when we were still living in our previous home on a vacation park. We lived very nearby water (which I do miss now), so I often headed over there to sit on the bench for a couple of minutes.
Those were some great times, especially when the sun was out, or when it was very misty.
As long as the weather wasn't too great, I was usually the only one there.
We used to write small blog posts every week which then got send around to everyone (small company), just to keep in touch and keep that social stuff going. Usually we'd add a picture or two aswell, which is why I now have many of the same place!
Yes, I definitely miss the closeness to water we had back then. What do they say? Something like 'you don't realize the value of something until it's gone'?
Maybe when spring comes around, I'll be able to drag myself out of the house and onto my bike more often to cycle towards the water around these areas. We do live close to a big body of water again. It's not really far, just no longer walking distance.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

I enjoy your beautiful photos. Have been thinking about getting a camera, using smartphone is not the same, its ok for normal occasions !
Thank you!
I agree, taking pictures with a smartphone feels kinda limiting, especially if you're used to an actual camera. These pictures were all taken with my phone, but I often notice I miss being able to zoom in (without affecting quality) to frame the image better.
Great subject, nice pohotos ;)
I would love to live near the water! 🙂 We're a half-hour's drive away, which is decently close enough to make a day of it but not close enough to just go for a walk and enjoy it whenever we please.
Well, that's beach-wise anyway. We also have a muddy river within a 3km walk and a muddy lagoon. But it's not the same!
Yeah, same for the water here, it does require a bike drive, although it's a little faster than half an hour :-)
We live in the middle of farmland now and it's basically just fields and flatland as far as the eye can see. I mostly miss forests to walk in. There is one surrounding our town, but during winter, you can see right through it onto the farmland. That's how small it is 😅
Lovely photos around the water! Beautifully captured!
