Our Farm
It is always cool in the farm early morning before the sun rises. We enjoy the cold breeze passing by especially when the palm trees are swaying from the swift wind blow. The rice fields have been harvested and the rice have been sun-dried before they are brought to the mill for rice shelling and that is to remove the outer skin of the rice and then have them polished and have them ready for consumption.
The palm trees in our farm were all planted by my father decades ago...just recently, they harvested the matured coconuts and sold them to a dealer. In the real sense, the farm help us to become sustainable. We barter rice to fishermen and return we get some of their freshly caught fish of the day.
Rural view
The carabao or water buffalo is a useful animal that takes care of tilling the fields and make them ready for the next season. In June-July , the fields are prepared for the second half of the year´s rice planting.
